The technician that came by did say he can upgrade my router at RM200+ to EC230 model or for free if I renew the 2 year contract. What about that model? is that good?

Hi guys, have just installed Time broadband and it came with a DLINK DIR-882.

Would like to use my Deco M9 Plus instead of DIR-882. Can anyone point me to the right direction in setting up the Deco M9 with time?

Assuming it is also PPPOE and I have the login ID and password handy.

Tried using the information but could not connect successfully.

Anything I am missing out?

Recently, my apartment just have TIME internet.

I asked one salesgirl, she said TIME port is limited as TIME open half of 100+ units.
Is it true that TIME internet is limited? NOT TRUE

Or TIME will open the port anytime whenever people wants to install?

Hello Everyone

I'm a foreigner here from Canada and don't really know too much about the local ISP's.  The internet was here when I arrived and I took it over.

I'm currently on TM's unifi advance 30Mbps plan and since my apartment building doesn't have Fiber yet I'm not eligible for their Turbo Speed boost to 300Mbps.
So I'm looking at other options, specifically the Time 500Mbps plan.  (It's actually cheaper than my crappy 30Mb TM plan lol.. Will happily pay the RM500 fee to leave)
How's the installation time when it comes to getting Time installed?  I can't be without internet so I'm just worried about the transition plan from TM to Time.  Are the technicians
usually on time or are there typically delays?

I see the 500Mb plan comes with a TP-Link EC 230 router.  Is this sufficient or am I better to get an aftermarket router?
Also I gather Time is way better than TM?

How much is the price for 30 meter fiber cable from Time ?

Do I use a fibre cable splitter to add the 30 meter fiber cable or just redo everything and pull a new fiber cable ?

Does a splitter cause any performance drop in internet speed or any other factors ?

i recently switched from unify to time broadband and the router provided is a tp-link ac1350...
i subscribe to smartdnsproxy service which runs fine when i was with unifi and an asus router..
the proxy cant seem to work with this tp link router, even after changing the dns etc... any pointers?

Hello, I have DIR-882 router, and it's using customized firmware by TIME (3.5.8TT).
Can I flash the official firmware from DLINK or maybe DD-WRT firmware for this router? I can still login to TIME after that right?

Anyone have tried to swap the Huawei fiber box with 3rd party device?(microtik, ubiquiti etc)

If yes, do you have any links or guide on how to do it.
