The technician that came by did say he can upgrade my router at RM200+ to EC230 model or for free if I renew the 2 year contract. What about that model? is that good?
*
This is Ec230 is much better than previous Archer C1200. We have identified few bugs & they were patched by latest firmware from TP-Link.

So far it's working fairly good apart of some minor IP address issues with some gadgets like cctv, tvs etc. Need not worry too much, there are pretty easy ways to get around.

Thanks.

Hi guys, have just installed Time broadband and it came with a DLINK DIR-882.

Would like to use my Deco M9 Plus instead of DIR-882. Can anyone point me to the right direction in setting up the Deco M9 with time?

Assuming it is also PPPOE and I have the login ID and password handy.

Tried using the information but could not connect successfully.

Anything I am missing out?
*
Hi,

Please download the TP-Link Deco apps & follow the on-screen info to setup, you will need to get your PPPOE credentials ready.
Be sure to hook up your Deco M9 to Lan1 port of the Huawei ONU.

Thanks.

I called them yesterday and they reset the profile but it doesn't fix the problem.
*
If you wanna fix it yourself, get ready your pppoe credentials, perform a hard reset and configure back the router, test again using a network cable.

Thanks.

hi, i recently just move to a new place. i would like to move my time broadband to my new place. can you assist me with that ? tq
*
Hi,

It's actually very simple, you could do it online.
Please kindly login to your selfcare.time.com.my , click on Relocation Services, and proceed accordingly.

Do note that, relocation to new premise will be charged RM120 for Outdoor Relocation Fee.

Note : You will need to dismantle your ONU, Router & Dect Phone (if any) & bring them to the new premise, SI will be on-site to install for you.

If you have further enquiries, feel free to contact me at support@timefibre.com

Thanks.

Recently, my apartment just have TIME internet.

I asked one salesgirl, she said TIME port is limited as TIME open half of 100+ units.
Is it true that TIME internet is limited? NOT TRUE

Or TIME will open the port anytime whenever people wants to install?
For sure will.

Hello Everyone

I'm a foreigner here from Canada and don't really know too much about the local ISP's.  The internet was here when I arrived and I took it over.

I'm currently on TM's unifi advance 30Mbps plan and since my apartment building doesn't have Fiber yet I'm not eligible for their Turbo Speed boost to 300Mbps.
So I'm looking at other options, specifically the Time 500Mbps plan.  (It's actually cheaper than my crappy 30Mb TM plan lol.. Will happily pay the RM500 fee to leave)
How's the installation time when it comes to getting Time installed?  I can't be without internet so I'm just worried about the transition plan from TM to Time.  Are the technicians
usually on time or are there typically delays?

I see the 500Mb plan comes with a TP-Link EC 230 router.  Is this sufficient or am I better to get an aftermarket router?
Also I gather Time is way better than TM?
Thanks in advance for helping this foreigner out everyone.
*
Hi,

Rest assure your transition from TM to TIME is seamless. Though we are also SI but we cant say on behalf for all SI, but need not worry, nowadays most of the SI are usually on-time and beyond expectation.

EC230 is merely a very basic router catering 800--1200sq ft unit size... the performance varies & very much depends on your unit's structural design & the router positioning.

Feel free to email me at support@timefibre.com or drop me a wassap should you require further assistance smile.gif

Thanks for the quick reply.  Ok good to know.  I'll evaluate the stock router and determine after.
Silly question but what's an SI? lol.
Thanks for the PM as well.

How much is the price for 30 meter fiber cable from Time ?

Do I use a fibre cable splitter to add the 30 meter fiber cable or just redo everything and pull a new fiber cable ?

Does a splitter cause any performance drop in internet speed or any other factors ?
*
Hi Calvin,

We are TIME Certified Installer & Authorized Distri, appreciate if you could provide us more details of why you want to pull the 30m optical fibre ? Is it you want to extend it from the existing point or is it damaged etc?
Feel free to contact me at 0124299200, we'd be able to advise you better.

Thanks.

If you don't mind, perhaps you could provide us a test account to test.

So far we don't receive feedback on this issue yet.

Thanks.

Hello, I have DIR-882 router, and it's using customized firmware by TIME (3.5.8TT).
Can I flash the official firmware from DLINK or maybe DD-WRT firmware for this router? I can still login to TIME after that right?
*
Hi You can but you no longer under the support from TIME for the Router.

Thanks.

If yes, do you have any links or guide on how to do it.

Thanks in advance
