What?!

No such thing as that.
Even Core i5 also can achieve.
This is not about the processor things.
Is it using the latest firmware?
Try to perform direct connection to ONU and test.

Thanks.

let me check first. thanks

If installer own laptop cant reach that speed, something else is wrong.
You should hold installer until he get your speed or arrange next visit.

hi, just upgraded to 500mbps package and using the stock archer c1200 provided by time only can get speed 200-300, what should i do to get 500mb ? tried with wifi, lan cable also same
*
Hi,
Before you test with the Router output bandwidth, make sure the incoming bandwidth is indeed up to your subscribed 500Mbps.

Remember best effort broadband service is subject to bandwidth fluctuation ...let's assume you managed to get 70-80% of the advertised speed which is 350--400Mbps, hook up your computer (presume it's under optimal requirement) to the LAN 1 port of the ONU, and perform a PPPOE dialup from your computer direct to the ONU (without going thru the router)...

Check that first.

Since you have a Macbook Air, it's very good for testing, far more better than the SI's comp spec.

Today you post so many wrong info....

AC3150 is not discontinued ,
just out of stock. Stock is coming another week or two (probably with increased price).
AC5400X is gaming router with better spec, its doesnt mean AC5400 is bad.

Also C7 v.5 on 500Mbps plan will do job.

or wait for upcoming AC2700.

Edit:
If he need to top up RM700...better choice is Asus Blue Cave.

Based on the spec, Asus Blue Cave don;t have MU-MINO.

Broadband users also complain of not enjoying lower prices

Maxis said the upgrade was not automatic for existing customers as they have to first pick one of two plans – 30Mbps at RM89 or 100Mbps at RM129 per month.
They can do so at the Maxis page, bit.ly/2gacJxB, but will be recontracted for 24 months. Also, customers who break the new contract will incur a RM500 penalty.
Maxis said recontracting is necessary as it is providing a new router which is capable of maximising the higher speed for WiFi, and at no cost to the consumer.

If your building premises can support it, it's a good idea. Bear in mind the costs can be extremely high for what you will perceive as "lower" speeds. However uptime and stability are unmatched. One particular firm in my building pays a huge amount every year for their Metro E package.
