What's the default password and username for the basic TP link router? I want to change my wifi password and maybe the ssid too.
*
Check the bottom of the router.

You will get the SSID and Password there.

Thanks.

Looking to apply Time Fibre for unit for Block-B Sfera Residences. Any feedback regarding availability and stability of it at this particular development?

Also, I have been told by the contact of my property agent that this particular development is under exclusive contract and no availability till 20 Mar.

However, playing around using the online application availability checker, it says available. Any sales partner/Time agent can help to verify?
*
Thanks for the interest.

Kindly refer to your PM for more information.

Hi, that's a worst experience.
You're staying in High Rise or Landed as I understand that your premise doesn't have coverage for TIME Fibre.
From the beginning, what was your plan speed from the start.
I have never heard this kind experience before for a long time in lowyat.

Finally getting my time installation today. I see they are providing tplink ec230 g1. Is this better or worse than tplink c 1200 in term of WiFi signal and reliability?
*
It is better than C1200.

Thanks.

I've just installed Time 500 Mbps. Speed is quite disappointing because it is always below 100 Mbps. Then I realised there's no option of 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz. Just 1 connection. Tried to access the router but can't because I do not know the password. According to the manual, it should be admin and TIMEXXXX (last 4 digits of the PIN code). What is the PIN code?
*
Hi. You may check the label under the router.
Last 4 digits of MAC Address.

Thanks.

Hi all, I want to change from Unifi to Time soon, due to want to save some money.

Wanna ask if Penang Bayan Lepas area is having good service from Time?

For the 3 years I've using Unifi, I only have 1 downtime and less than 5 times speed drop/high ping problem.

Is using Time more prompted to service downtime or speed drop?
*
Hi, the TIME Service here is very good.

I'm from Bayan Lepas as well. So far no problem on my side for many years already.

TIME is definitely better than Unifi.

Refer to your PM for more information.

how much allowance for fibre length does TIME provide from wall socket port? will be building casing from the wall fibre socket move 4ft horizontally, then move up 8ft from floor, is it still within TIME cable allowance?
*
For Time installation , standard installation is free , there is allowance of 20 meter of fibre cable free start from your doorstep , extra meter further from that is one meter RM 10.

Yes, most routers that are local ones are compatible with TIME Fibre.

Do let me know if you need further assistance.
You just need PPPoE Credentials ready.

Had a tplink router with custom Time firmware.  Is it good to flash it with "normal" firmware with hope to gain better performance?
*
Is your router still under warranty?

If you flash to normal firmware during warranty period.
Warranty will be void.

My suggestion for you is to get a new router instead.
Flash Normal Firmware won't change the performance.
It depends on the hardware, not the software.

Thanks.
