Above EDITED: ... It's likely 200GB International Roaming in ID, SG and TH only, ie no more 15GB of Int'l Roaming in 30+ countries.

Like I said before, there are a few negatives or not-very-Rahmah about this Pakej 5G Terpaling Rahmah, ie mainly to benefit DNB, the celcos and 5G device manufacturers.

Yeah confirmed, kena scam by the phone operator. So now u68 only roaming 3 places. The u98 also is 15gb if not the 3 countries stated. I need the internet so i had to subscribe this month but next month i will drop it back to u38. Fuk up umobile.

Note that the Postpaid U68 plan is different from the Pakej 5G Rahmah plan, even though the latter (Rahmah) plan is based on the U68 plan for purchase or subscription.
....... IOW, Pakej 5G Rahmah is same as the Postpaid U68 plan except for the 5G "device bundle" costing RM240-subsidized that comes with a 24-months' contract and RM10 rebate per month for 24-months, ... 200GB of unlimited-speed 4G/5G data quota that can be "Ultra Hotspot 5G" and can also be used for International Roaming in ID, SG and TH only, ... .... instead of 100GB data quota that can be "Ultra Hotspot 5G" and 15GB quota for Int'l Roaming in 30+ countries, etc.

If you are now subscribed to the Postpaid U68 plan, the original terms have not been changed, ie you still pay RM68 monthly for 100GB of unlimited-speed 4G/5G data quota that can be "Ultra Hotspot 5G", 15GB data quota for Int'l Roaming in 30+ countries, free domestic calls, no-contract, BYOD, etc.

Only those U68 subscribers who have "upgraded" to Pakej 5G Rahmah via online or by going to the U Mobile shops will have the original terms changed, ie changed to Rahmah-terms.

OTOH, if you are now subscribed to Pakej 5G Rahmah, you are tied to a 24-months' contract mainly because of the subsidized 5G "device bundle". Cancelling it next month will likely incur a penalty payment of 23-months X RM68.

not really, the rahmah is got deduct rm10 and only b40 can subscribe? The existing subscriber before 31st aug will maintain. If u don wan contract and no rahmah bullshit, u can take u68. But for me is i wan roaming out of sg indon thai. No choice to take u98. Already upgraded temporary. Will downgrade to u38 after a month.

Yes, you are right. My apologies.
....... I just found out about the NEW Postpaid U68 Plan (effective 31 Aug 2023) which is different from the original/old U68 plan and quite similar to the Pakej 5G Rahmah plan. .......

Attached Image

The terms for the NEW U68 plan are quite similar to the terms for Pakej 5G Rahmah except there is no 5G "device bundle" = no 24-months' contract and no RM10 rebate per month for 24 months.

The old U68 plan .......

Hello hello, anyone have any fix for my roaming issue?

My umobile sim, in qatar refused to connect to data roaming. 3G would connect and disconnect every second, never making a connection until finally it will fail

Then now in the USA it connected and worked for maybe 15 seconds the last two days

But even worse than qatar, here in USA I am getting straight no service. I tried disable 5G and volte but phone still refuse to connect to AT&T

Just to check if phone problem I put Celcom sim with roaming into phone and it worked instantly

Another umobile on another phone seems to work normally too, but they don’t have free roaming

Seems like my sim is being targeted because of the free roaming lmaoo

I can’t even put it in another phone because esim, and it worked perfectly in Malaysia.

Tried reset network settings too, really don’t know what’s the issue

Happened to me last time when I roam in SG. First and second time it took me more than 30mins to receive SMS that I connected to Roam10.

Third time langsung cannot. Immediately I upgrade to U68 also cannot get connect in SG although there is free 15GB roaming.

Made a report to U Mobile. But they cannot find the root cause. When I on/off the sim card. I got charged 50 cents several time due to iMessage activation. They refuse to refund.

After read your replies, look like I am not alone facing the issue?

My plan was U38, and using Roam 10

Yeah I think umobile has crippled their roaming services after giving everyone free 15gb 💀

Worked perfectly last year, but now even call and sms are unusable

Very unacceptable, if they cannot give free, better just don’t give. Don’t promise free and nothing works

What 4G speeds are you getting during off-peak and peak network traffic hours.? Have you tried 5G speeds.?
*
25mbps normal
12mbps currently 6pm, with bunch of other people leeching my wifi, no lag or unresponsive so far.

Performance is to be expected, i live in rural area a bit forested area after all.
Doubt 5G reach my area. No device to test it eitherway.

Already far better than Digi previously had become extremely unusable in the kbps during peak hour since early this year, eapecially after merger with Sialcom. Often no respond at all things just fail to load, then also sudden outage despite no bad weather... It was really pissing me off for the pass months. Conspiracy theory tells me they pissed off with the original Infinite150 users, now purposefully throttle people to piss us off.... Congestion in rural area till cannot use, are they kidding me?

Upload on umobile also appear slightly faster.
4mb up normal, currently peak hour still doing 3mb.
Previous digi lucky to even have stable 1mb...............

I need this kind of huge data plan exactly because there is no landline/unifi here. If live in urban area just get unifi lah xD

4G 25Mbps speed during off-peak period is usually single carrier or single Band speed. U Mobile transceives on Bands 1, 3, 7 and 8.

If you get a 4G LTE modem with Carrier Aggregation (Cat.6 or above), you can get 100+Mbps during off peak periods, eg .......

There is no function to select band as far as i aware.
Unless you mean a 3rd party tool, there was one I saw on github before.

OTOH, for now, DNB's 5G LTE Band 28/700MHz is less congested than UMo's 4G LTE Bands 1, 3, 7 & 8 during peak traffic hours but in due time, eg 1 year from now, as more celco subscribers upgrade to 5G, it will likely be more congested than the 4G LTE Bands because DNB's Band 28 is only 2X20Mhz = 40MHz = a bandwidth capacity of about 800Mbps only per cell tower, shared by all active 5G subscribers.
....... In comparison, DNB's 5G NR Band 78/3.5GHz is 200MHz = a bandwidth capacity of about 6Gbps per cell tower, shared by all active 5G subscribers. In due time, this too will become congested during peak traffic hours, eg from 500Mbps today drops to 10Mbps during peak hours.

Afaik, each celco has bought 1Gbps of wholesale access to DNB's 5G network @ RM30k per month = each 5G cell tower is giving only 1Gbps to each celco, to be shared by it's active subscribers.
....... In theory, if 10 5G subscribers of a celco are actively downloading large game files at the same time, each will gt 100Mbps, ie 1Gbps = 1,000Mbps/10. IRL, this seldom happens, ie each 5G subscribers are often actively using 5Mbps to 20Mbps, eg for video-streaming 1080p/FHD or 4k/2160p content. So, theoretically, 5G network congestion at a cell tower will happen when there are about 100 subscribers of a celco actively video-streaming at the same time.
