Last i call umobile they say still maintain the existing package and new 200gb is rahmah. But now inside usage cannot see edi. But the website got say global roaming 15gb, i think tat also applies to u38 now? Wanna call the customer service but the umobile line seems like cannot get option to reach them lol shit

user posted image

Based on the plan summary, there is still 15gb roaming. But not shown in the usage summary lol

From U Mobile website, ie the Pakej 5G Terpaling Rahmah gives 15GB International Roaming in ID, SG and TH only. .......

There say is sharing from high speed data oh. The new package suppose to get 200gb sharing for indon sg and thai roaming. Then the 15gb is wat i dunno.. maybe the internationally for other country still get 15gb?

Damn feel like kena scammed by umobile lol.

Above EDITED: ... It's likely 200GB International Roaming in ID, SG and TH only, ie no more 15GB of Int'l Roaming in 30+ countries.

Like I said before, there are a few negatives or not-very-Rahmah about this Pakej 5G Terpaling Rahmah, ie mainly to benefit DNB, the celcos and 5G device manufacturers.
.
*
Yeah confirmed, kena scam by the phone operator. So now u68 only roaming 3 places. The u98 also is 15gb if not the 3 countries stated. I need the internet so i had to subscribe this month but next month i will drop it back to u38. Fuk up umobile.

Note that the Postpaid U68 plan is different from the Pakej 5G Rahmah plan, even though the latter (Rahmah) plan is based on the U68 plan for purchase or subscription.
....... IOW, Pakej 5G Rahmah is same as the Postpaid U68 plan except for the 5G "device bundle" costing RM240-subsidized that comes with a 24-months' contract and RM10 rebate per month for 24-months, ... 200GB of unlimited-speed 4G/5G data quota that can be "Ultra Hotspot 5G" and can also be used for International Roaming in ID, SG and TH only, ... .... instead of 100GB data quota that can be "Ultra Hotspot 5G" and 15GB quota for Int'l Roaming in 30+ countries, etc.

If you are now subscribed to the Postpaid U68 plan, the original terms have not been changed, ie you still pay RM68 monthly for 100GB of unlimited-speed 4G/5G data quota that can be "Ultra Hotspot 5G", 15GB data quota for Int'l Roaming in 30+ countries, free domestic calls, no-contract, BYOD, etc.

Only those U68 subscribers who have "upgraded" to Pakej 5G Rahmah  via online or by going to the U Mobile shops will have the original terms changed, ie changed to Rahmah-terms.

OTOH, if you are now subscribed to Pakej 5G Rahmah, you are tied to a 24-months' contract mainly because of the subsidized 5G "device bundle". Cancelling it next month will likely incur a penalty payment of 23-months X RM68.
.
*
not really, the rahmah is got deduct rm10 and only b40 can subscribe? The existing subscriber before 31st aug will maintain. If u don wan contract and no rahmah bullshit, u can take u68. But for me is i wan roaming out of sg indon thai. No choice to take u98. Already upgraded temporary. Will downgrade to u38 after a month.

Is it possible  to move from U98 to U68 (200gb) without opting for the phone and contract? I am OK  with paying rm68  per month.
*
Shud be no problem as long as u not contract. I am moving from 98 to 38 next month. Since the roaming is shit package lol.

Yes just downgrade to U68 just now. Past usage never exceeded 150 gb. Didn't take the phone package.

yeah im forced to take u98 due to roaming requirement. my brunei local data already maximum, and cannot buy additional data sweat.gif u38 would be just nice. actually u68 pre-September is the perfect plan for me, but ngam my digi contract until 31st august. shit.

U98 comes with 1TB data that can be fully hotspot? Also what’s the experience of 15GB data roaming? I went to HK with a friend in July, no issue with my Digi roaming but she cannot connect on her U data roaming, ended up she bought a local SIM from 7-11.

Recently Digi changed the data roaming rule so I don’t really like it. Since I travel very often and I like the free data roaming. I feel like getting a U98 plan just for data purposes.
*
im getting like 400ish ping when ping telekom klang from brunei. but download speed wise is okay. just the high ping is not tat smooth. i can say is much better experience than Digi.

oh ya regarding on the hotspot, seems like they only provide 15gb for hotspot based usage dash at the app. maybe 5g can get 1tb fully hotspot.

Thanks for the feedback.
Ping is higher which is understandable because it routes back to Malaysia.

Oh only 15GB? I thought the entire 1TB. laugh.gif Hmm. 5G full 1TB? Nice. biggrin.gif

umobile actually quite confusing, they actually confused/conned me into getting the u68. before 31st i called their customer service, they confirm with me even after 1st sept they will maintain the u68 which has 15gb international roaming for 63 countries and the new u68 is rahmah package with only 3 countries sharing data for roaming. on 2nd sept i port into umobile, the dealer checked with their side, they also say is maintain. but on 3rd when i ported in, i saw my data is 200gb, then i know is the new package. tried call umobile cant reach, then use FB only they respond. Had to upgrade to u98 because i need the roaming data, but i decided to downgrade to u38, will use local data plan instead altho it will cost me bnd13 for measly 6gb sweat.gif

i saw my usage dash showing hotspot quota 15gb, but then at the plan details said ultra hotspot 5g sharing from high speed data, but high speed data they advertised is sharing 4g & 5g lol. really very confusing.

In a sense, the rebate offer is a 24-month "contract" because after opting in for the offer, you need to be on the U38 plan for 24 months to enjoy the RM5 monthly rebate AND if you leave U38, eg port-out or downgrade or upgrade your plan, you will need to pay back the RM5 monthly rebate that you have enjoyed.

U Mobile's likely intention is to be more certain of your RM33 monthly payment for the next 24 months and to try to prevent you from jumping ship within this 24 months if rival celcos later offer even a cheaper plan or same-price plan but with higher data quota.

In my Postpaid GX50 case, I have recently opted in for the offer of RM10 monthly rebate for 12 months = "contracted" for 12 months. This offer is the 2nd time that I received since 2019. .......
RM0 UMobile: Congrats! U're entitled to enjoy up to RM120 Bill Rebate across 12 mths. Reply SL5 to claim yr special gift. Limited time offer. T&C: u.my/SL

With Gobind as the new Digital Minister, anything can happen.

where got say u need to pay back? it is not inside the TnC.

I recently encounter a bad experience with this provider

Due to their recent migration work of decomm 3g and move to 4g / VOLTE , i was experiencing erratic call drop, unable to make calls and data connectivity issue.
i did raise a complaint via their chatbot but it didn't get thru ( as per their claim) .

Been using their service about 6 month which was ok till recently. I was using a MI 10 5g phone.

3 weeks of poor reception service, thought it was my phone issue and decided to get a new one.
take note, this period, i already file a complaint with MCMC and the provider have yet to revert on the status of the complaint

Sign up for 1 of those rahmah package and gotten my self a honor 90 lite.
all of a sudden , everything was working fine.

This is when the service provider came back and say that my old phone was not supported becoz it does not support 4g/volte

feel cheated as the cause of the problem was by the provider migration work

now buta buta bought a phone for no reason and worst, tied to a 24 month contract

follow up with provider, they not willing to waive the early termination fees as i agree and sign the contract. (wtf)

Super piss with the outcome .

What are the options available to dispute this case?

1. - i no longer want to use this useless provider
2. - provider insists me to pay full penalty ( early termination fees)

Any suggestion are welcome

Mi10 5g no volte? Cannot be eh. Ur mi10 buy grey import or sendiri import from China? Cos need to tweak some thing to enable volte if phone is not from malaysia. Cant remember how to do it but for ur case worth to check it out.
