last time only hotspot quota can be hotspotted, main data quota cannot.

this changed after they introduce ultra hotspot 5g promo.

Hello there,
You should seek advice from all master umobile users here.
I am currently using TIME fiber 300mbps.
When the contract expires, I'm thinking of terminating it.
Is anyone here a U Home 5G (Ultra Hotspot 5G) user?

Do you believe the 5G signal will meet my needs given I'm staying in a condo on level 33?

I'm not playing any games instead, I'm mostly watching YouTube or a drama/movie.

I need your help.
thanks

But how is the Modem? cos the modem is very costly.

I get your point. I thought 5G is now more high speed compared with 300mbps (fiber type).
recently I facing an issue with the TIME internet connection.
even though it is 300mbps but it is less than that and always has connection issues. bangwall.gif

the router is 1 year old, I don't think is the router problem.
when the connection error, I unplug the fiber cable and after a second then plug it back again.
I am not sure if is it a fiber cable issue or the modem issue.

You may contact time support for that they will send tech person to your premises to check. If it’s router fault usually they will replace it

Prepaid 5G and U Home 5G use the same 5G cell tower or network. So, you should first test with a U Mobile Prepaid 5G.
....... Even though U Home 5G is no-contract, testing it and then cancelling it will likely incur extra costs and more hassle from U Mobile.

4G/5G is also more prone to network congestion during peak hours in urban areas = Internet speed may drop to about 2Mbps. This will happen as more subscribers upgrade to 5G in the near future.
....... Afaik, each 5G cell tower (on 700MHz or 3.5GHz) from DNB gives only 1Gbps bandwidth capacity to each celco, ie U Mobile, Celcom-Digi, YES, TM Unifi Mobile and Maxis. And each cell tower can serve a maximum of about 500 active subscribers at any one time. So, 1Gbps or 1,000Mbps/500 = 2Mbps per subscriber.

Afaik, even though Fiber Internet is less prone to network congestion during peak hours because of ample bandwidth capacity and less subscribers on each Fiber cable, ie 10Gbps or 2.5Gbps and max 50 subscribers per Fiber cable, Time Fiber subscibers in condos are likely deprioritized behind TM Unifi Fiber subscribers when network congestion occurs during peak hours - this may explain your disconnection issue. IOW, TM Unifi Fiber subscribers may get priority over subscribers of Time Fiber, Maxis Fiber, etc. Note that Time dotcom and most other telcos buy wholesale Fiber Internet access from TM HSBB Wholesale.
