Go direct to Umobile service center. Porting is free including sim card.
If you Port from dealer they will charge you for sim card.

Mine activated automatically once i use the sim.

Just switch to umobile.
And i cant receive sms from bank...UMOBILE can send me the sms. Din ask other ppl send me..

restart your phone.

If after restarting phone still cannot, call up your bank customer service and tell them the SMS from their code is not going through your present provider. Also inform them you switched telco(MNC) with your existing number.

By right cannot because the FAQ says only can use in smartphones. However the safest way is turn your phone into a MiFi device by enabling hotspot on it.

The plan is very convenient if you travel a lot and need a modem for tethering for side devices such as notebooks and tablets but don't want a separate SIM for all of them.

Not for a dedicated router modem to share with many users though. Mobile broadband restricts the total number of simultaneous connections for each account.

Maybe 1-2 devices more than that your connection either will get throttled or you will get connection refusal errors. Even if you enable too many connections in your download manager.

Because cell towers for mobile Internet have limited bandwidth capacity, eg U Mobile's 4G Bands 1, 3 and 7 (900MHz to 2300MHz) has a total capacity of "only" 1.9Gbps per 4G cell tower to be shared by a maximum of about 500 active subscribers during peak hours = each subscriber can get only 3.8Mbps, ie 1,900Mbps/500, during peak hours in urban populated areas.

In comparison, TM Home Unifi Fiber fixed/immobile Internet has a total capacity of 10Gbps per fiber-optic cable to be shared by only about 50 subscribers living in linked-houses or shophouses. Even during peak hours, each subscriber can get 200Mbps, ie 10,000Mbps/50.

Hence, celcos have to sometimes limit their subscribers' Internet usage with speed limits, data quotas, hotspot data quota, FUP and smartphone-only usage.

P S - Afaik, DNB(1) has a total bandwidth capacity of 5.6Gbps per 5G cell tower on frequencies 700MHz and 3.5GHz which it is selling to celcos at the wholesale price of RM30,000 per 1Gbps per month per cell tower. In May 2023, DNB1 has set up 1,000 5G cell towers.
....... In 2024, DNB2 should have additional capacity per 5G cell tower to be sold to celcos.
