For new registration, just select esim during purchase.

Not so sure about existing subscriber already using a physical sim.
*
in umobile app there’s a request esim, how’s umobile working for you?

I'm in Penang island most of the time. Umobile has been generally ok so far.

Just a couple of dead spots found during my hike up Penang hill yesterday even while my digi and hotlink lines were good.
*
great info, guess umobile is suitable for backup line then πŸ‘

QUOTE(jsnhoh @ Mar 3 2025, 12:36 PM)

Yeah, good as backup if the slightly poorer coverage is backed by lower price.

Maxis can do but only for new prepaid line registration. Hope they will extend for existing prepaid line to convert to eSIM.
For postpaid can do through app no need to visit centre.
*
if all telco can implement this service will be perfect, doesn’t matter postpaid or prepaid πŸ‘

Interesting 😏
Unifi mobile esim? πŸ€”β„’οΈ
*
the spare phone which pass down to me from family when they upgrade [vivo Y17] doesn’t support esim and it only run on 4G πŸ™ˆ

the funny part is when i sign up for postpaid package at TM, asking for esim and they told me no stock πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
that said, the line can be terminate next month which is a relief for me as it perform poorly at my location πŸ™Šβ„’οΈ

Wth, if physical sim no stock make sense, esim out of stock πŸ˜…, it's typical lazy tm staff there 😴

Unifi mobile the next YES, both are terrible.. At least umobile far better than them 😏πŸ”₯
*
that’s one of the reason i’m not keeping unifi and the desire to ditch it since day one once the contract over ℒ️
indeed from my testing umobile actually excel the above two mentioned 😁

another reason to add hotlink prepaid to my main phone is to trigger this plan:

That's celcomdigi, not hotlink πŸ˜…πŸ”₯

when this plan doesn’t appear in digi BOS, i use hotlink as main data on device.
Let the digi in idle stage and wait for that offer to reappear

Instead of spinning and confusing consumers/subscribers of calling their plans as UNLIMITED, they should just straightforwardly mention the FUP quota is 200GB with a speed throttling on their plans.

Why they caused so much confusion by naming their plans Unlimited but comes with speed throttling and only can be used in phones?

Best model with good honesty is still Tune Talk.

Upright tells you how much quota is given, no device limitations, entire quota is hotspot-able, can be utilized as unified quota for both 5G/4G whichever works best for you.

Most misleading Unlimited plans now are by UMobile and Hotlink Prepaid. Joining the are both YES and Unifi Mobile.

I read in the other Unifi Mobile thread some people complaining their line just got barred because their telco detected them using their unlimited plans for unrecognized devices even when they were legitimate phones from overseas market.

Been using CelcomDigi , now tempting to port over umobile 128 Family , main concern is coverage and data speed .
Anyone can share the data speed compare to celcomdigi or maxis .

It is always advisable to purchase a prepaid sim card for testing purposes before making a final decision, although this recommendation may vary depending on the location 🌏
