QUOTE(DjiNn @ Dec 21 2008, 02:51 PM) Yes, its 1 RROD, but it happens like 5 out of 10 starts. And I afraid that it will eventually goes to the full-fledged 3 RROD

Anyone can help? When i boot my xbox everything goes fine and i can play games for hours. But its just that, there are texture glitch where i can see white dots appear and disappear on the screen which is distracting like an oldies film from the 50s.
Iam using a falcon, havent really checked the wires/cables behind.

Hi Guys,
My 360 has finally gone to the dark side, giving me the 1 red light and e74. Decided that I will take matters into my own hands and fix this thing myself. Will be doing everything in the guide on page 1 [thanks Guardian].
Will tell you guys how it will turn out. Oh, i was also thinking of adding 2 fans on the side to suck additional air into the 360 and another 2 fans on the back to help the internal fan suck out hot air. Only problem now is how to power these fans... hmmm..
PS: When i said 2 fans on the side, i meant the grey mesh of the 360 that does not have the HDD. As in, I have my 360 placed in a horizontal position.

Hi
Excellent stuff Gurdian. I am going to try this. How long did your fix last? Is it still going? more than a year after?
Hope I can get at least a few months out of it.....

At last, mine had kicked the bucket. 3 months after the graphic problem
Well, fortunately my boss gave me CNY bonus this month. Hope the new one will last longer with things learned from the first console
Added on January 24, 2009, 9:52 pmDamn, it got back up again. I never can understand this thing...

(make sure everything is in intact) if it turns red, you get a dead brick.
