well said mate sad.gif i thought you were wrong at the first place but only found out then that your words are so true enough as i can only managed to play it for about 8 hours...

1st session = 2 hours
2nd session = 3 hours
3rd session = 2 hours
4th session = 1 hour ++minutes >>> got the graphic glitch >> switched off
5th session = switched on and got back the unwelcome-e74

i am thinking about getting a new jasper... but ps3 really looks promising this year brows.gif

edit: it's fun to fix back that e74...

Hi, I have my friend's 360 which is suffering from 3ROD. I opened it up and found that there was only 1 x-clamp as he has sent it before twice to shop for repair. Previous malfunctions was also 3ROD. This is my 1st time with 360 therefore I didnt try the x-clamp fix instead sent it to shop. 1 week later the guy from the shop said 'they DONT want to repair it because some parts were missing'. So I took it back and wanted to try the x-clamp fix and I noticed the x-clamp was removed and replaced with screws n nylon washers for both the GPU n CPU heatsinks and fresh thermal paste sleep.gif" its not like they DONT want to repair it, I'm guessing they CANT repair it...

I tried the x-clamp fix but to no avail. Any suggestions? I dont even know what type of error this 360 has, nothing came on the screen where switched on.

u can try your luck by x-clamp fix..but it is not permanent fix..maybe..also depends on luck..some x-clamp fix is not functioning..last resort by replacing GPU..

Alright guys, this worked for me, the lights are now gone. Haven't put it back and put it to test yet though.

I didn't exactly use Nylon washers but plastic if I'm not mistaken. The washers I use were slightly shorter in diameter from the ones shown because I didn't have to pull apart to make the ones of GPU and CPU fit snugly.

Hoping that this fix stays a while smile.gif

UPDATE: Now I'm getting the E74 error. Does anyone know how to solve this?
