the reballing solution involves completely ripping out the chip and applying (reballing) the connectors from chip to motherboard.

temporarily fix. But with luck. it could be permanent!

for me after x-clamp it works some not lucky enuf it last about 1-3weeks if lucky can last about a year but end up E74.

yes. We can actually do the x-clamp method again, but sooner or later, once the motherboard is wrap to the max, there is no way to wrap it back.

unless you got the right tools. (factory tools that is.)

I wanna ask a question, why does my xbox hang whenever i try to go to my US account. I deleted my US account, and then when i try to recover it, half way it hangs again. Is it any symptoms of 3rod or is it the internet connection? It never hangs during dashboard or gameplay.

most cases are the internet connection. Try disconnecting and reconnected again with different IP. (streamyx problem somehow is related to this)

there is no way to fix the motherboard to wrap itself. (even with the x clamp fix) its just prevention only.

if 3 RROD occurs again, take it out. loosen the screws.. tighten it again and try again.

An easier explanation:

If your XBOX360 is still under warranty, send to Singapore via GH (courier), or courier to SG yourself, or send to SG yourself

Else, meaning already out of warranty, recommend send to Tech2 for reballing

Comparison:

Sending back to SG
- Courier fees RM350
- Return in 3 months perhaps ?
- possible getting a new / falcon version
- possible getting another refurbished version
- no guarantee that it will not 3ROD again

sending to Tech2
- RM400 for reballing and the chip
- done in 2-3 working days
- warranty, if 3ROD within 3 months, can send back to Tech2

X-clamp not recommended by most ppl coz the result is not guaranteed.....and may differ
