Hardware manufacturers are always looking for way to cut the cost of manufacturing their hardware. So the main purpose of the transition from Jasper to Valhalla is not to eliminate 3ROD (though it is a good chance for them to redesign their flawed hardware) but to cut cost.

well, jasper will be just fine. The next xbox surely will have the slimmer version of the console plus bigger internal memory(8gig at least). If not, They is no point to release valhalla which theoretically on par wth jasper. Evolution is needed for the next one to be sell.

Actually after jasper, they should rethink/focus to release many more accessories support for xbox. xbox accessories is soooo uninspiring.

i know this question got nth to do with the topic...but ust wan to ask...installing ur games on to the HDD can reduce chances of geeting rrod? as in less work for the dvd drive to do...thus release less heat?

nope. Works the same only. Just that you don't strain the DVD lens .

1 more thing...any1 using cooler for thier xbox like a blackhorn intercooler? izit affective?

i wanted to ask 1 question.. turn which side of the screw is to tighten the heatsink? I mean after i do the xclamp, i wan to tighten the heatsink abit later on.

mean is different from normal screw where u anti-clockwise to tighten it? DAmn... that day i turn left side, now my console keep on 3rod whenever i open it. Need put like 5 minutes then restart only can play..

but don't over tighten the screws. After too tight hence the "wrap" the motherboard too much cannot turn on already

need help guys .. my xbox got the 0013 code yup it overheat . ive successfully done the xclamp . then i let it about 5 minutes then the fans start to rumble and bang the 2 rod lights come back . i try xclamp again for 3 times still the same . 5 minutes and then 2 rod . is my thermal paste not strong enough or its time for me to buy another third xbox .

This could be the Thermal Paste. Try something different.. Like a bit .. Then not too much..
