So X-clamp fix is just to replace the melted thermal paste?

huahahahaha....i manage to repaired my xbox 360 and my fren xbox 360 from 1rod...thanx guardian...2 weeks and still running strong....maybe i should open a store to repair the xbox???

juz only 2 u hv revive u need more exprience more to do that....

urgent here, any sifu can plz tell me can i replace the 1 nylon washer with 3 steel washer?

what are the washers for? is it in the 360?

im sorry to say panda.....but now...i have already repaired 6 xbox360 with 1rod and 3rod....but all my frenz xbox....not dare to repair anynomous xbox....but all my frenz satisfied with my service( i think bcoz i repaired it for free) safe rm300!!!

just completed the x-clamp method. however there r sign of 2rol..according to Guardian , he said the overheating 2rol trick is essential for the method. so would like to ask how to perform the overheating 2rol trick?
1 more thing, y the fan will stop by itself after few seconds once i on the console? help me help me plzzzzzzzzz

btw, i got the error code 0011? guardian bro or virgil or anyone, lend me a hand plz

u need to use nylon washer or same as that all so can...but never use metal washer surely spoil ur xbox...
u fan will auto stop bcoz of overheating 2rod...

2ROD - is it the 2 upper quadrant rings? If it is, then the GPU is overheat. Then it is the same as my problem, fron my post (the next page from your post). You need to do the x-clamp solution, either 'cause the clamp needs to be re-aligned for better contact with the heatsink and the GPU. Search for it on the net, its quite easy and saves 'ur monies. Though I do recommend the method that replaces the x-clamp with screws and new artic thermal paste

Yes it is still possible.
But the chances of fixing has been reduced.

what are the washers for?

the washers are there as safety so that you do not damage the motherboard with the screws.

is it in the 360 when you buy or u have to add it?

My 360 got 3RODED!! Shit la!... have not finish GOW2 or FABLE 2 and now 3ROD!.... am looking to do the x-clamp fix, but i dont know where to get the nylon washers and screws!! i've been to a few hardware shops and they dont sell the ones i need.

nylon washer is known as insulator washer..the traders sometime doesnt know what is nylon washer....so u have to say insulator washer....it is happen to me to...
