Greetings Gurdian,Djinn, Virgil and all the hardcore gamers. I agree with Djinn, its about what game you really wish to play on that console that made you purchase it in the first place. Shame on Microsoft to have such low quality components on their Xbox.
I have a few question though:
1. Will these o/heating, 3ROD, and other manufacturer`s defects continue to strike, even with the new improvement Microsoft has done on their Xbox ( the one with HDMI output, and newer heatsink). I check a few retailers who sold Xbox, and they claimed newer version of Xbox will greatly reduce these problems.
2. If they do persist, what is the probbilty these problems will ocur on every 100 Xbox in Malaysia.
3. What about the Xbox Elite version, will it be better ?
I wish everyone can share this with me, esspecially all the game console`s surgeons and gamers who read this. I know I`m writing on the right place, where all the opinions are not bias and sincere. Or else, it will be wiser for me to get a Playstation 3 instead, coz could play some Xbox title on PC.
Many respects and gratitudes, peace.
1. The new version had reduce the problem but was never meant to solve. It was only meant to
reduce and therefore the problem is still there. IF M$ wanted to solve the problem for good, they have to redesign the whole Xbox 360. M$ was so eager to beat Sony, they have forgot to put in TQM ( Total Qualty Management ) into their product.
People still buy Xbox 360 due to the variety of games and good game compare to PS3. M$ had beat Sony in the run, but lost in the quality of the product.
2. It depends on the various conditon. When it comes, you just have to face the fact that it will come. If you are able to survive for 1 year, you are good enough already.
3. The first Elite batch was to solve the 3rod problem. But the 3rod problem still occurs. Today version makes no different unless you want the extra HDD space, HDMI output and the design colour.
