I wanna ask about Asus Zenbook UX433. Looks very nice and I wanna know about opinions from anyone that has owned one or used one

Hi tech gurus,
I'm looking for an all rounder laptop for engineering and gaming

Usage: CAD and some 3D modelling software, gaming on the side (waiting on cyberpunk 2077)

budget: RM3k-5k

GPU: can run demanding games decently at around 60FPS, preferably medium to max settings

size: around 2.5kg, can fit backpack for uni

Battery: 2-3 hours (gaming laptop isn't known for long battery life)

Any recommendations? THANKS IN ADVANCE<3

Your budget probably will not get a new Quadro laptop so you have to stick with Geforce card

Either these 2 with 1060:
Lenovo Legion Y530 customize
Illegear Raven (TongFang GJ5CN6E)

avoid default IPS panel since it has low sRGB

Might want to go used/refurb unless you don't mind slow CPU and 4GB RAM

TUF cooling is the worst in gaming laptop history.. beat all the previous record holder bro... u change thermal paste oso dint help.. the casing itself badly design for cooling

unless u play with backcover remove.. then plug a deepcooler to it.. then temperature ok

I saw Asus VivoBook S13 in Asus Product Guide (Dec 2018 - Jan 2019) but cannot find the model anywhere on Lazada/Shopee. Is it not available in Malaysia?

RAM and SSD add, preffered 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD
good keyboard and touchpad, if can
13 or 14 inch display
regular laptop/ ultrabook

usage: i'm university student. microsoft word, power point, excel. web surfing. video streaming. want to try light video and audio editing. NO gaming. hope can use many years lol.]

Depends on what normal usage is.

My budget is similar to yours and I'm waiting for the Chuwi Lapbook Pro to be released some time soon.
I was also thinking of the Teclast F5 or Teclast F7 Plus (for 8gb ram)
But 4GB is good enough for me (normal usage is just uni stuff)
I'd suggest looking at the Chuwi Lapbook SE too.

People here really like suggesting over the top bang for the buck laptop (that fully utilizes all that budget money) without considering user usage and a cheaper option.
But if you're really looking for over the top bang for the buck then go with what ZM Fong said.

1. Budget : as affordable as possible

2. Usage : well, I just want something newer and more reliable than my current laptop with an i3-2350m. The i3-2350m is sufficent for my intended work load.

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : must be able to access 2.5" drive mount easily (e.g. via dedicated maintence panel)

Hi there,

Anyone can recommend a laptop use for college assignment?

Budget: RM2.5 to RM3k

Brand: ASUS (or any other recommended brand and model)

Requirement: Use mainly for assignment, video making, video editing (probably would need faster processor and higher RAM?

Thanks.

Hi all, please do recommend a laptop fitting the specifications below:

1. Budget: RM4,000
2. Brand: NOT Lenovo (known security risks). I have used Acer for years, but I'm also open to other non-Lenovo brands. Currently using Acer Aspire F15.
3. Usage: Games (on Steam / Garena), text processing, web-browsing, video streaming.
4. Minimum Requirements: See below

MUST HAVE
1. Storage: SSD (of any size), preferably with HDD as well
2. Memory: Minimum 4GB DDR4.
3. Processor: Equivalent to Intel Core i5, or better
4. Graphics: Equivalent to NVIDIA 940MX, or better
5. Good after-sales service (repairs), in case laptop breaks down

PREFERABLY
1. Has NumPad
2. Has durable casing, such as metal cover / casing. Bonus points if the cover is scratch-resistant. For example, Acer E5-571 is fucking ridiculous on this aspect - the painted cover got scratches after I placed my wallet & watch on my laptop. In contrast, Acer Aspire F15 has a very scratch-resistant metal cover, surviving scratches of coins and stapler with no obvious marks. However, it has fragile hinges and plastic bottom casing, which seems to crack quite often.
