QUOTE(williams2011 @ Oct 13 2018, 04:08 PM) How old is your phone? Mine dropped to 98% after 8 months (with 140 charge cycles) of use. After updated to 12.0 and reverted back to 11.4.1, it increased back to 99%. So, it is not 100% accurate. Can use the desktop app "coconut battery" (macOS, not sure Windows) to check the charge cycles. This post has been edited by svchia78: Oct 13 2018, 04:28 PM |

QUOTE(svchia78 @ Oct 13 2018, 01:44 PM) iOS Whatsapp only can restore from backup in iCloud. The transfer has always been perfectly fine for me . I am referring to backuptransTransferring from Android Whatsapp to iOS Whatsapp requires paid expensive desktop app. Even so, the results only hit and miss. |

QUOTE(wtw0911 @ Oct 13 2018, 02:39 PM) There is no way to transfer the WhatsApp backup from Android to iOS after they implemented the end to end encryption. But you can use backuptrans android WhatsApp to iOS transfer to transfer it over. There will be a license for three different devices after purchase and I still have one to let go to share out the cost Still possible. You still use the same private key as long as you hold the same phone number. Backuptrans will download the messages to store locally first and then sync with iCloud/GDrive again. |

I notice my iPhone X GPS signal is damn lousy. Always no signal especially when i am using Waze (notice that Google Maps is slightly better). Complaint to Apple many times, they keep asking me to wait for new iOS updates and that should fix it. I am now on iOS 12.0.1 still same problem. Maybe slightly better.
At first I thought is the area that I am always in having bad signal, but when i pull my old 7 Plus out at the same time, GPS detected quick and no issue. I think the GPS chipset in iPhone X is kinda lousy for my set. Mine is the first batch from Singapore. This post has been edited by PHI_1.618: Oct 15 2018, 11:35 AM |

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 15 2018, 10:17 AM) The battery experts claim that you should keep your charge level between 20%-80% to maximize your battery longevity - but I prefer to charge it to full every time. I must see 100% everyday! Do you think overcharged will also cause drop of battery health in faster way? |

Same here I’m quite certain charging to full every time will shorten your battery lifespan, but I think you’ll probably only see the degradation after a year or two, which is OK for me. |
