Lucky to have downgraded back to 11.4.1 before the lock by Apple. Happy with this battery life on my X based on my typical usage pattern.

Yeah, buying for gf. I was thinking X would be better since what matters is the looks are similar and camera is better? But probably don't have the latest image processing and processor (but the major improvement is on graphics anyway)
*
I would choose the Xr instead of X, bcos the processor is better and the camera also has more features although only single lens.

I'm also wondering if it's worth to switch my wife's X or to hold another year.
*
Wait and see whether can tahan the screen lor :haha:
Bcos the screen is the “deal breaker” for most ppl. I also wanr to see the screen in person

Claiming to have battery life better than the Plus series is a plus for me

True, but if it looks the same as the regular iPhone 8 screen (coz same PPI), I think it'll be OK.

Yeah, thats the draw for me too, the promise of a better battery life!
*
Most probably bcos of the screen ppi thats why better battery life kut hmm.gif

Don’t know why
*
Xr look very nice bcos of the colour options
XS Max nice bcos it is the "flagship" of Apple and the biggest screen nod.gif
I also want the XS Max, but need to see my financial situation will allow it or not

QUOTE(Mazda9 @ Oct 21 2018, 11:24 PM)
Hi everyone,

My battery health maximum capacity is 88% and I have been experiencing issues with my phone battery whereby the phone will auto shut down eventough the battery is 50%. When try to on the phone says battery Low and when you plug in the charger it goes back to 50% over.

I have updated to the latest iOS and issue still persists.

According to Apple, they will only replace the battery of the battery capacity is below 80% and since my iPhone warranty is expiring in Dec, I have log a case with Apple support and their advisor has approved for FOC battery replacement as the phone warranty is still valid and has created an exception casefor the battery to be replaced eventough the battery capacity is 88% and looking at the nature of the issue, advisor supported my case and gave a go ahead approval and case number.

The reason why I contacted Apple
Support and raise and exception ticket coz knowing our Apple authorised support centre in MY, they will taichi and not change your battery and yet bill you under battery replacement programme eventough the phone is under warranty and with the exception approval given by Apple, they will have no choice but to force replace it on Apple’s Cost.

Do you guys know which Apple centre in KL has stock for iPhone X battery and can replace the battery in less than 4 hours based on experience?
*
Mine 88% too, planning to get it replaced also but “unfortunately” dont have problem so will have to pay for replacement

So far i know all AASP will not replace the battery on the spot d. They will send to factory in PJ for replacement

Was thinking of getting X instead of the new Xs.

Might as well aim for the XR if you are upgrading from older iPhone?

But QCD Sunway pyramid, which is Apple authorize service provider, told me that there’s no battery replacement program for IpX.
So have to pay full price of 329.
*
But didnt the program state that eligible iPhones are SE, ip6 and later?

Don’t understand why ppl are so paranoid about the reduce peak performance aka battery mgmt.
Iphones last for very long time and will still be viable, will still be getting updates after 3-4years.

I guess the other phone makers don’t face the same problem, because they stopped supporting phones after 18months, even the flagship ones. So are you expected to change new phone after merely 1.5years? Just ask Samsung.
*
Standard SOP for all phone manufacturers whistling.gif

Apple also most probably the same, want you to upgrade every year. If not why wouldnt they tell you that changing the battery can solve your phone slow down problem, and only after ppl complain then they add in the option to turn off the feature. All phone manufacturers want you to change phone every year if not mcm mana cari makan
