Are you bought direct from Apple?
*
yup but it doesn't matter. I always do RMA with Apple, especially their charging cables. Think I have rma >3 charging cables over the years.

My brand new iPhone X Face ID isn’t working. Error pop up keeps saying Face ID isn’t available, try again later. Tried all software resets and still the same. Sent in to Apple service today. Haih....so much for Apple products quality control.

Anyone else experienced this?

wah, sianz. mostly likely getting a new refurbished set as replacement.

Haha, true enough.
Wow, touch wood I’ve never had to do RMA with Apple ever since I first started using their phones (iPhone 4), not even their cables. Hopefully it stays that way!
*
but ok i guess. for those early adapters, even the oldest of the reburbished set in the market is only as old as the iphone X you are carrying now.

Hi guys, for those who have sent in their device for repair/replacement, in reality how long does the apple centre take to return the phone? They told me 5-7 working days as they need to send it to Singapore repair centre. Appreciate some feedback on this. Thanks guys.
*
why don’t you do a RMA? hassle free

The phone bought in April and it dropped to 96%, anyway to reduce its cycle?
*
cycle is a measue of how many total 100% you charge. so how to reduce? you can stop the cycle from increasing though.

Should I stop at 99%?
*
it doesnt work that way. if u lets say from 50% charge till 99% and used, then at 48% u charge till 99% again. That is 49% + 51% = 100% (1 cycle). It keeps accumulating.
To stop cycle from increasing, stop charging your phone smile.gif

Yes. Just enjoy the phone. When it is time to change, you just change la. There are too many things in life we need to get ourselves worried. But phone shouldn’t be one of them.
*
exactly! my phone i also anyhow charged, died on me last month, after using for ~10 months, refused to take charge anymore. RMA back to Apple, now the new refurbished unit i also anyhow charge. time is too precious to worry about phone battery health.

Not gonna work if your display digitizer is working fine. Don't be a cheapo.
*
oh well. they treat those with Apple Care+ like King. just too bad you are not able to buy. well i’m still at 100% battery health since last RMA.

Anyone check their Iphone X battery?

90% battery health when buying it on launch date reasonable?

Seems like my battery always went <20% after 6pm
*
mine died already ~1 month back. refused to charge.
