You can see in the gerbil which genes are presence from the outlook. As for the recessive genes hidden behind the dominant genes, you need to breed and see the outcome from the pups and it might take a few generations to know exactly what's the genes of the gerbil. Bear in mind that it's just for genes identification, pairing it up with another suitable gerbil to get the genes you desire is another different story. That's why a lot of space, time and money is needed.

I just bought a wheel for my gerbils hahah... not bad, hang the wheel upside own by the tank cover, can see a few of my gerbils like to run a bit.
i gave my gerbils a wheel (ordinary one) a long time ago.. when they are still young.. no risk to chew it la.. untill now i can't find any gerbil wheel..
haha, babymoli, your sumos quite cute and funny la... mine one quite funny for me as well... my yuki and kioko will jump down to the their tank by themself... even when i take them out once i put i hand on the entrance to the cage(i use habitrail lid). they will jump inside

That 5 sumos not afraid of height ones la. They dare to jump down from their tank & even table height. I never let them alone on table coz they are too daring.
they still will jumping out from the table, your sumo sure daring. if i put my both girls on top of their tank, they will jump back into their tank instead jumping out from there... haha...

Hahahaha.. At tank cover, they jump outside when the cover is closed. On table definitely jump down coz wanna roam freely.
