Price range wise, between MYR 300 - 450, does anyone know which router can support beyond 300Mbps to 500Mbps?

While it is good to get a router than can support beyond 800Mbps, it is a bit overkill when there is no consumer grade Gbps service provider in town, for now.

Anyone here is ASUS AC66u here?

I just realize my unifi is turbo charged today but my first try on speed test via 5ghz wifi is only around 200mbps.

SO a few question for some pros here.
1.) Will my older TM modem able to support up to 500 mbps speed?
2.) Do I need a cat6 cable that connect between modem and my ASUS ac66u router?
3.) Anyone here using ASUS ac66u acheive 500 mbps via cable / wifi?

TIME has started quietly upgraded some of its users' speed while most of us are still fighting with TM for Turbo speed.

Can I know your house electric is using single phrase or three phrase?

I want to buy but not sure three phrase can use or not because my house have two switch box, one at downstairs and another on upstair.

If TIME is covered in your area, it makes no sense to continue paying high price TM. I switched my friend from TM 50Mbps (free upgrade from 30Mbps) to TIME 100Mbps since her area is TM VDSL only, that means no Turbo for sure. Now paying lower than TM and higher speed, she may be upgraded to 500Mbps for free as reported by other TIME users. She hasn't got any upgrade yet.

Me too but I'm slightly better because this friend listens to all my advice.
I even help her to pay her bills since TM days and I earn cash back from my credit cards.

I'm sure your GF will be happier to pay lower price and get higher speed.

Since TM is incapable to do it, let other ISPs earn our money then.

These days TM/TIME/Maxis agents are everywhere, not even require to step out of house to register.

Anyway, back to the topic, I still haven't got any news regarding my Turbo speed.
Next Wednesday is the deadline to know my fate.

2. Current UniFiTV Ultimate (Monthly RM60)
3. Free upgraded somewhere early year to 50Mbps.

after a while she's checking then the staff offer me 30Mbps + Ultimate (call @ flat 20 sen/min) at RM149 + 6% SST + 2 years contract      ok lol but really inconvenience to find and get my butt to TM Points 

I have no idea how to do, my router on upstair living, my downstairs kitchen unable to receive the WiFi signal. Any suggestion?

huhu... yup but fiber only to the box below, from there to each house using copper... not new apartment here. Only way to get fiber inside home is by subscribe to TIME (100Mbps @ RM149) but from neighbor feedback same issue as UniFi too

And so I went to TM POINT Kelana Jaya. Damn it, it was closed down 3 days ago.
So I drove all my way to Uptowm which notoriously hard to get a parking and my queue number >30. I went straight to counter and ask for customer retention form, and they say will call me back to downgrade.

Real shitty that they don’t allow to change package over Livechat

i guess tm start adjust the pricing , some turboed already get additional discount, may be they try to make the price more standard rather than unfair or funny funny different price.

189 = 800 (ultimate +free call)
179 = 500 (ultimate +free call)
169 = 300 (ultimate +free call)
159 = 100 (ultimate +free call)
129 = 100 (1 package + free call )

After promising to get the technical team to call me and then raised several complaint reports, I kenot tahan already and went straight to TMpoint Cyberjaya.

I calmly explained my frustration of paying RM316 monthly for 100mbps while everyone else is enjoying the same speed at a much lower price then the front desk lady asked me whether I want to downgrade to the new RM129 100mbps package or cut the Turbo queue. I opted for the latter (I wanted a temporary discount OR faster upgrade to turbo'd speed) and then she wrote this behind my queue ticket and told me to explain to the staff at the counter that I demand for a faster turbo upgrade by cutting the queue:



When my number came up, I explained the same thing and the staff said she understands and will send the instruction to the Turbo technical team and upgrade my line as soon as possible. The staff at the counter proceeded to give me a customer retention form and I filled it up on the spot. She said the upgrade will take place within 2 weeks.

I guess I'm gonna have to be patient for the next 2 weeks while waiting for the speed upgrade and my 20m Cat7 cables to arrive from Shopee..

EDIT: My Cat7 cables just arrived less than 2 minutes after writing this.. lol

Im having 500mbps turbo. But due to lack of equipment support, I plan to downgrade to Unifi 100mbps + Unifitv ultimate, total RM159.

But they told me once i downgrade, I have limited chance to upgrade in future, is it true ?

Another option they give me, maintain 500mbps +TVultimate, they give me free new router but have to extent one year contract.

Should I downgrade or extent contract.

I am now in RM179 - 500 but no ultimate and no free call. Maybe I will downgrade to RM129 - 100.

I'm paying RM 232+ montly for 500mbps + Unifi TV Ultimate.

Planning to get my own router. Looking at TPlink or Tenda, dono which to get.

My home cable using cat5e, having additional 2 access point. To maintain 500mbps, I need to upgrade 2ap and 3 wifi adapter.

Very dilemma. But my house use internet quite heavy also, plus got 6 IPcam running all time.

Any advise for me ?

I'm curious, is the current available two plans [RM79 and RM129] the only ones? Or they keeping it this way until the upgrade of current customers is complete?

I'm currently awaiting for my Turbo upgrade here, I know it takes time. It's just that I might move by the end of the year. Supposedly I got the upgrade before I move but the new location got no port available, then does that mean I have to cancel my current subscription and get streamyx, then upgrade to RM129 when available?

No need like this, just ask live chat support to create a request. Write your own message and tell the him/her to copy and paste it instead.
In the message, state that it is been along wait and even new users can enjoy high speed, it is not fair for you blah blah blah....And tell them you have all the required network equipments for high speed internet including your gigabit router model , cables and if your modem support Gbps link speed,hope they can process your request so that you can get turbo speed asap. The report  priority should set to Urgent.
This works for me that I receive feedback in the next day that I will receive the upgrade within 2 weeks, but actually 3 days without any email and sms.
