Can you please attach a copy of the transcript stating that Apple let you claim warranty for Aus set/Hong Kong Set?

The conversation below with Apple Support confirmed that there is NO WARRANTY for Hong Kong iPhone XS MAX dual sim in Malaysia.

That is probably because Malaysia is not in the first wave. Anyway claiming at SG for HK set also pointless, i doubt they have dual sim set for you as replacement

i think is because malaysia not yet launch XS. but the apple store got their point as well, malaysia doesnt have replacement or refurbish phone for dual sim unit, which means they are unable to give u like to like replacement and thus they are not able to service ur phone.

Even in Sg if they able to replace with single sim, would you accept it?

need sendiri send back to HK? they will reimburse shipping?

I have just placed an order through T&L with coupon too. If you use shopback, you get another RM100 cash back. If you have Bcard points you can use all your points to convert to discount too.

at this time, because Malaysia not official launched the iPhone XS/XS Max yet, therefore it consider no warranty at this moment.
once it official launch, then it will eligible for warranty claim.
but what we think might be correct, MY might be following SG Set, which is Nano/Esim, and when you claim your Nano/Nano set here in Malaysia / SG, they might replaced you with Nano/Esim Device.

If they gonna replace a nano/nano sim to a nano/esim in AASP Malaysia, I'll just send to T&L and let them send to HK.

this is from Apple Store HK...now we are all unsure if they allow HK set to claim warranty in Malaysia (due to dual sim vs eSim), we will find that out soon once we get it here in Malaysia, mostly mid oct..

EDIT: best if you check again with 11 street support if this is SG or HK set.

I do not think Apple.my will honour the warranty of HK sets. But T&L did mention that they are giving warranty for it, which include sending your unit back to Apple.hk if AASPs here dont honour the warranty. T&L is quite a reputable dealer, so yeah, I think its ok to purchase from them.

Apple claims 98% CSAT, so I think if the resellers here deny you a warranty claim, an email to Apple should help, especially after spending over RM5k on the phone.

I did RMA'ed an Iphone 6 from SG and when my seed unit came back, it had a serial no of MY meaning it was replaced with a Malaysian seed unit.
