OT: so many games in the market which ask u to spend to get a chance for lucky draw/ win something.. even bank also doing the same thing, spend with their card/ pay bill using their card/ casa/ duitnow etc to win house/ car / cash.. don’t think Shopee is doing something illegal if even a bank/ government bodies also doing that..

it is a gamble in whatever way one would sugar coated it. the voucher is non-tangible, doesnt bring any value akin to things like love or hope. think of buying a ticket for RM1 then youll 'win' a kiss and chance to participate in lucky draw. A kiss doesnt have any value, as the voucher tht TMT gsve. Even the voucher code is not unique (its TMT18) so every1 on earth will receive the same voucher code. How is that make any value? on the other hand it's totally different from promotion of a supermarket ie, in which you did receive whatever item you bought.

And yes i did go bit off bringing issue of religion, but promoting gambling is illegal as far as malaysian law concern

Solely based on the photos attached and didn't bother to check out the actual promotion earlier.
Had a quick check and that's not buying lottery. That's just value added. Similar to many other promotions(bank lucky draw for example) like you guys mentioned.
Maybe poster earlier thought he/she buying a 'ticket' solely for lucky draw purpose

They're basically selling vouchers afaik. Think I saw it a day or two before but I don't see it now.

Duitnow is bank transfer, nothing I get, just a service by bank.. the TMT voucher, generally just u pay to buy discounted voucher , like boost, u buy shopping voucher such as Shopee, 11street.my etc at discounted price, u also get a chance to win angpow..

simple, if the winner is a muslim just draw again. obviously non muslim will not against it. basically most of the stuff has some sort of "gamble" in it if this is the way u view stuff
