According to facts, Damon is suppose to be faster, better result and less painful.
Actually each individual tolerance in pain are different. Whether its less painful, i guess we cant exactly answer that. Only those who had braces twice and tried both traditional and newer system would only be able to answer whether its less painful.

But seriously, the pain is ok, we can tolerate the pain. Moreover, the pain will only last you a few days. So my dear, look up to your beautiful smile, you wont regret it. For the sake of being beautiful, everyone in the group here had decided to get their teeth fixed. We endure, we burned our credit cards, and we rather be Ugly Betty for 2 years. But that will only be 2 years, after that, you'll be the beautiful butterfly...

Speaking of that, we havent hear from Baby_boi (ronnie) for quite some time. I wonder how's everyone and condition of their teeth.

The thing is for me, besides extractions, i hav to install 2 screws in my upper jaw also.
Then dr says will do a minor surgery for me. Its Laser off the vein to separate my lips and jaw. Cos they are too close joining that causes my mouth/lips to frown.

So scary... and my wallet will dry up again...

Cant drive after extraction? Hmm... i didnt think of that. I tot i will just go for appt after work and drive home and back to work the next day...

Oh shit...i forgot my exact date for my appt now....

Oh... i'd checked with them again the cost for extraction. RM35 each tooth. Medication and all would be another RM80.
RM35 x2 = RM70 + RM80 = RM150

As for screws, RM350 each! I faint... Burn my credit card again...
If any of u smell something burned...It must be my credit card already...sigh....

I Dont think i'm allergic to it.

However, the tablets that Dr gave when i had my braces installed, i still have it. I din eat it. Cos it wasnt that pain until i have to eat painkiller...

Smart decision... Can save money also

Anywayz, Its been one month plus for you? How's is it going? See any improvement yet?

I have something to share... I had my lower jaw installed for 5 weeks and 2 days only, i see very obvious movement edy. I didnt know until i compare pictures just now. Hehehe...So happy...

My bite stopper? I didnt get it replaced. Dr. How says its fine to keep it as it is. So...like that lor.

Wow, i started my treatment b4 you and u alreday had ur teeth extracted. I think your treatment will complete way b4 me. But no matter what i'm glad. Cos my 3 months treatment now allowed me to witness the progress. Tho they are not well aligned yet but i see major improvements.

Even until now when i look at my before treatment pictures, i still get a shock on how horrible my teeth was. I regret that i only accept the treatment now at my age. That is my only regret.

Since the day i installed my 'new accessories', I never live a day not loving them. And i love the pain cos i know they are doing the job. Hahaha...

Bite stopper is basically a hard clay to stick it at either ur upper or lower jaw to prevent ur upper and lower from hitting the brackets.

I think not everyone need it. Doctor did it for me but i crushed it when i sleep and when i eat. But after getting it checked, doctor says i dont need it anyway.

with this bite stopper, ur upper and lower wont get to touch each other at all. Cos it creates space in between. That is why many of us find it hard to eat with the bite stopper.

I've been wearing braces for 14 weeks now. And i see major improvement... seriously. Unfortunately i dont hv my pictures files now, or else i an upload it t show you. But actually i did upload pictures before... U try to back track this thread? Edit: You may check post number #398 & #519
But my condition now are even better than when those pictures were taken.

I shy to tell my age la... Just very old compared to many of you la...

Dont angry k? hahaha actually me too... now i think back how i went through horrible teenage years. Ppl will make fun of my horrible teeth. That's really awkful. And i actually am very self-conscious with my look particularly my teeth. Just that financially me and my family could not allowed me to go for braces.

There was once in my secondary years, i was just walking on the street with a friend. Then some bastards came from behind and whispered something to each other " leng lui....eh...got leng lui"... then when they passed us, they shouted "wah, one fat one, one buck teeth wan"... SERIOUSLY.... That is a very very awkful feeling.

Three times in my life, i seriously consider of getting braces. Once was in secondary school, financial is one factor to stop me from the plan. Another factor, i was childish, i tot i would rather not look like ugly betty in college.

Second time, when i finish college. Again Financial is the main factor. Another reason, i'm afraid that i'll scare off all employers with my braces. As it wont look presentable.

Third time, i finally got it done. Financial problem is not a problem anymore. Not that i'm earning good. But i figure out the time that i've wasted and i would rather be ugly for 2 years than my whole life. (i mentioned b4 )

Sigh...i guess leng_leng would understand my bad experience if u claimed that your condition are worse than me.
But dont worry girl, now that we've taken our first step to wear braces. We're brave to do that at our age. (also, if u claim that you're older)....hahahaha



PS: how come we are like compare who is older and who is more serious case wan?

Actually i had a broken relationship this year too. Then i stood up and swear that i want to look beautiful. So i started on research about braces. Meanwhile my bf came back to me and asked for a patch back. i accepted him back. But that doesnt stop me from getting braces. I told him tat i wanted to get it done. He supported me. In fact he said he wanted to get it when he is able to.

Kentcp, i truly feel your pain too. Anyway, i'm loving my braces. Even bioweapon83 also complimented on my progress... hahaha (i take that as a compliment, btw) when it comes to takin pictures, my teeth are shown aligned in pictures. Which i totally happy for it...

The current technology? I'm using In-Ovation Clippy C (ceramic) braces. Its the same as Damon3 which Kentcp is using.

Definition of serious? When i went to dentist, she said serious. As for Dr. How.... i dont remember him saying the SERIOUS word. But he looked serious. hahaha... but judging from all the work and procedure i have to go through, i assume serious. U may refer to my pictures... hehehe...

U will see improvements. And i only had it for 14 and a half weeks. I installed my upper first in early oct 08. Just a month b4 you.

Not yet...huhuhu... i pandai pandai go and set my appt on the weekend b4 CNY. I totally forgot about CNY. I wont be in town for CNY ma... So i changed it again to b4 CNY on weekdays lo. Sigh... If scared also wont retrive. Cos i want to look beautiful. Hahaha...

Anyway, did someone said that fed up on how family and relatives question about your braces? hahaha... My case different. Everyone were glad that i had it done. Even my grandma also says GOOD. "Good nikki, after braces will be leng leng (pretty)"

So i'm not embarrassed to show my braces at all. When i say hi to ppl now, i dont just smile like this . I give the biggeest smile ever like this hahaha.... and everyone would be like this
