Frankly speaking, it is not so difficult to find places but you may have better alternatives.

For those staying in Borneo, it is very likely you will buy Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia tickets, Amex is accepted at www.malaysiaairlines.com and www.airasia.com.

A lot of supermarkets and departmental stores in Borneo eg Parkson, Aeon Supermarket and Departmental (Kuching), Lepapa & CS Mini Market (Kuching), Bataras (I cannot confirm as I am not staying in Sabah), Aeon Wellness, Guardian accept Amex, but you may prefer to shop at Servay, Boulevard, Everrise, Everwin etc where Amex is not accepted.

A lot of restaurants and cafes accept Amex as well eg McD and PizzaHut, but you may prefer to use e-wallets (especially Grabpay, Shopeepay and SarawakPay) to pay for better discount/cashback (>5% from ewallet purely, better than cashback from Amex), doesn't matter how to top up the ewallet (assume 0% reward/rebate).

I had been constantly getting full monthly CB from 2011-2019 (except 2015-16 when the cashback scheme was suspended). Not easy to achieve full CB in the past 2-3 years just because ewallets can give better savings nowadays (but not for long term, the business model is not sustainable).

Temporarily "borrow" the payment service from sister company - Shopee Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
Just like another sister company - Airpay Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Shopee Digital Goods eg Bill payment and vouchers), borrowed from Shopee Malaysia at the beginning then used its own payment gateway since early 2021.

Try Lazada (App) - Bill Payment (Sewerage).
At your own risk. You should get 5% weekend rebate if the transaction description is "LAZADA-EC KUALA LUMPUR MY".

10000 Treatpoints per card = RM25 SST rebate.

Normally the original payment transaction is reversed so the transaction date remains unchanged, no impact on cashback unless cross month.

However, Lazada's Finance dept is too lazy to process the reversal, they create another payment transaction but with credit amount, still zero sum for 2 unrelated Amex transactions.

Don't abuse.

You still can use Amex to pay during weekdays. You will earn 5x TP equivalent to 1% (you can redeem at on the spot outlets eg Parkson, SenQ etc, 500 TP = RM1) or 1.25% (10000 TP = SST RM25 credit). Not many credit cards can give you >1% rewards (in general).
It is still better than your M2 Visa/MasterCard, 1 TP only.

You will find your card account at M2U a bit funny, when the replacement card is issued and pending activation.

M2U Artificial Intelligence is not reliable.

No need so kancheong, just wait 2 weeks for the approval and issuance of card and delivery.

Don't think there is a preset maximum limit, but the approved CL is subject to the income/security.

All the while Amex can't be used to pay Airpay Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Shopee Digital Goods).

Unless those sellers offering bill payment service, you can pay to Shopee Malaysia using Amex.
