"Threaten" may work only if you hold a Maybank Diamante Visa card or Private Banking customer.
Otherwise CS don't have KPI to retain existing customers.

Yes for Maybank's own bill payment services at M2U, NOT via Jompay at M2U.

You won't get weekend cashback and weekday Treatpoints so you will not be interested to use.

If I am not wrong, PrestoMall accepts Amex.

Use Lazada Wallet / TNG ewallet for Lazada and ShopeePay for Shopee, you should get >5% rebate, better than use credit card to pay. Eg use a Mastercard to top up Lazada Wallet on Tuesday early morning, 5% rebate (valid for 60 days only), T&C apply; For Shopee, a lot of Free Shipping Vouchers and Coins cashback vouchers are usable if you use ShopeePay instead of using a credit card to pay.

You can use Boost/Grabpay to buy MyDigi reward - Lazada/Shopee RM10 voucher at RM7.99, if available, T&C apply. You can use Amex to top up Boost/Grabpay. But I won't use this route because there are a lot of good alternatives without Amex.

As usual, buy the MyDigi Reward.
Now you can pay using e-wallets as well, not only Digi credit.

Since last week when I bought a Shopee voucher, but I still used Digi credit to pay (as I could top up Digi with >10% discount or FOC from Shopee Garden).

If you intend to use M2 Amex during weekend to get 5% cashback, make sure the "Transaction Date" is a Saturday or Sunday. Eg if you spend on Saturday morning (KL time), the transaction date may be a Friday; if you spend on Monday morning (KL time), the transaction date may be a Sunday.

Net gain aound 2% is definitely better than nothing.

Alternatively you use Amex to top up Boost, then use Boost to top up Setel wallet. Please note that Maybank don't give rebate/reward to e-wallet transactions including Boost. Setel wallet is also an e-wallet now, not petrol, you won't get reward/rebate as well (Visa/MasterCard).

So use Amex at Petronas pump directly if you want weekday rewards / weekend rebate.

Please note:
(1) No Treatpoints/Cashback if top up ewallets including Lazada Wallet and ShopeePay.
(2) Lazada and Shopee don't accept Amex.
(3) If you use M2 MasterCard to top up Lazada Wallet on Tuesday early morning, I am not sure if you will get 5% rebate from Lazada Wallet (valid for 60 days).

Maybe Amex is coming back to Malaysia soon, Maybank will lose the exclusive right of Amex operations in Malaysia.
