Other than Petron vouchers, anything else that we can spend to earn M2 AMEX cashback?  hmm.gif

I guess the options are quite limited now.

Go jalan jalan during weekend
Seat Grab to destination and pay using amex, Buy movie ticket (TGV GSC), go shopping (isetan), pay for dinner at restaurant (if they accept). Pay my utility bill (Maxis, umobile). Buy in game currency in playstore.
Just have to find out which merchant accept amex then can fully utilise haha.

i tot only the first full amount placed during weekends, not the subsequent monthly installment amount eligible for cash back?
QUOTE(timeekit @ Aug 7 2021, 11:22 AM)
Hi All,

I am planning to convert a purchase later into instalment payment plan (IPP) via Ezy Pay Plus.
I need your opinion/advise on how to maximise the value of my purchase.

What Card - Maybank 2 Amex Card
Purchase amount - RM 5k+
Purchase Date - Today (Saturday)

b) The following transactions are not taken into account in the accumulation of Cash Back:
Transactions for Maybank EzyCash, Maybank EzyPay Plus, Cash Treats, Cash Advance, and Balance Transfer;

Question: Aware that the subsequent monthly IPP will not be entitled for Cash Back, but what about the initial purchase amount prior to IPP conversion?

d) The following transactions are not taken into account in the accumulation of TreatsPoints Feature:
Transactions for Maybank EzyCash, Maybank EzyPay Plus, Cash Treats, Cash Advance, and Balance Transfer;

Also for future reference, appreciate if you could enlighten if we will earn any Treat Points for the initial purchase prior to IPP conversion if we purchase this on the weekday.
This are some promos which i found, anymore you can locate/share ?

100% Happiness, 0% Instalment with EzyPay Plus - Definitely using this for IPP conversion

Daily Prizes up for grab Every Day - Yup, have registered for this

Get up to RM300 Cash Back With AMEX Credit Card - Not applicable to me as I'm going to purchase this on the weekend

Thanks all for your input in advance smile.gif

My bad, so I misunderstood it but I don't see any first charge and the payment straight got split into installment.

You should be getting treat points instead since the initial transaction spend was not charged on Weekend.
Try to check your statement at the bottom and tally. You should have additional points from this purchase.

Friday is not weekend, feel sad for u console.gif unless is it pre-authorised transaction, the actual full amount was only charged the next day (weekend) then u eligible for cashback. perhaps u could call Maybank to ask for adjustment subject to management discretion biggrin.gif

I assume you derived RM23 cashback because you counted the installment amount (around 460?)

Actually the cashback is based on the initial full transaction amount (one time full cashback), instead of the subsequent monthly installment amount.
So lets say your iphone price is 5499, you would be getting the full RM50 cashback capped from this purchase if it was made on weekend.

Weekend max spending is only 1000 to get the max rebate. (1000*5%=50)
So sometime, it may be worthwhile to spend on weekday because treat points no cap especially for large purchases.

No, because I have other spending already and already gotten RM 27 cash back. My phone is 6,499. Yes, I'm well aware of the RM 50 cash back and also TP. Actually, I don't really use this card to collect TP because I have M2P to collect TP for airmiles and other card like CIMB TWE for points collection.
