Boost, they have 35,000 merchants supported and also just hit 3,000,000 subscribed customers.

The Customer engagement team is really responsive and helps sort out any issues(IF you're unfortunate to have any)

Thanks for pointed out more e-wallets.
But I just posted most reviewed e-wallets by some famous bloggers, and I couldn't edit the polls.

Beside that, this post is created for letting more Malaysians aware that there is plently choices of cashless APP around now. And how they are going be benefits as well.

I use Boost the most, because it has the most amount of accepted merchants, and also it's providing more localized services like bill and parking payments thanks to the fact that it's our homegrown e wallet.

Others would be Favepay (although it's not technically an e wallet) and also Wechat Pay.

Also a correction, Samsung Pay / Paypal / Big Pay / Mpay are not e wallets, more like mobile payments, and Alipay is not available to use by the locals here.

I do agreed with you, should call them m-wallets indeed.
Wechat Pay still cannot consider ask wallet yet as their transfer function wasn't active yet.

User must have MBB account for sure.
If not why call MBB QR Pay?
It's tied to MBB CASA from M2U App.

QUOTE
Who can use Maybank QRPay?
All new and existing Maybank2u customers with the Maybank app on their smartphones are able to use QRPay services.

I see, since Maybank also using PayNet and I'm really don't understand why Banks go partnering with others e-Wallet APPs?
If Maybank QRpay only targeting Maybank users, then this should be small markets already... sweat.gif

eg. CIMB is jointed with Alipay for developing TnG e-wallet, Hong Leong is partnering with Tencent Wechat Pay, Boost is partnered by Celcom, Vcash is by Digi and so on...
and mostly these Banks was granted e-wallets licenses too...

Relax Bro, e-wallets or m-wallets is too alien to Malaysians as very few merchants accept them, some at crazy transaction fees or slow clearances.
Maybe next 3-5 years, Malaysia could getting popular and going into CASHLESS, if every Telcos/Banks willing partner for a HUGE platforms like Wechat/Alipay in China.

Oh please!
They haven't fixed their Switch Wallet Region!

TnG App is definitely much better than them!

boost mother company already spent 30+mil just to throw money away for ppl to use.

their 1st year kpi target is 5mil users. simple kpi.

next year, they start imposing mdr to each transaction. let's see if merchant acceptance still that high later.

how many ewalllet has this deep budget to throw?

boost gain traction of course. but what is their gameplan for 2, 3, 5, etc years to come.
