rclxms.gif TQ, but relocation got renew contract?

What if I need to relocate my UniFi service? Are there any charges that I need to
pay?
Relocation requests can be made at any TMpoint outlets and is subject to service
availability at the new area where you wish to relocate the service. The relocation fee
of RM300 shall be waived (for first time relocation only).
For internal relocation within premises, there will be a relocation fee of RM350 for
changing of BTU location and RM200 for any additional internal wiring.
*
No contract renewal, no cost for now. All FOC for my two times relocation.

Discussed with my sister. She prefers price reduction which I have expected from her. laugh.gif

I will first try to ask for price reduction from my current plan due to overlapping UniFi TV package or downgrade to 100Mbps for RM 129.

She said there's no issue to upgrade to 800Mbps in the future knowing how TM works. laugh.gif

OK la, I will visit TM Point next week.

I must say I was lucky to ditch it at rm150

this darn router takes forever to boot/reboot, then sometimes the connection was lost even when I connected to the net using my pc, when I am the only user at that time
*
QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Sep 10 2018, 10:07 PM)
like I said, diff user diff scenario

but I suspect normal users will only use em on youtube, normal internet usage like FB, instagram, tumblr etc . but paling funny when you giot 300/500/800mbps connection but your device limit is only 100mbps!!!
*
QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Sep 10 2018, 10:10 PM)
if ur contract is more than 24 months just cut it lah

otherwise well... I think u can upgrade but will be reset to 0 months back. and no new equipment

I thought the 50mbps router is the same one like 100mbps?

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET A BETTER ROUTER like asus . worth every penny
*
QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Sep 10 2018, 10:12 PM)
+1 the speed connectivity is kinda unstable right now

on normal downloads it will like discon/resume/discon most of the time

and the torrent connection is like 0 - can't torrent!

Sorry too many posts for me to catch up, can I ask regarding this RM 129 100Mbps plan? If existing users, downgrade need to pay for penalty right if under contract?

sorry boss

here's the details

https://www.tm.com.my/Home/Broadband/unifi/...ract-Terms.aspx

If a customer requests for a downgrade within the 24 month contract period, a downgrade fee of RM 200 will be charged.
*
No choice not to pay for penalty and renew contract instead?

You or your sis' account is RYE2017, the RM10 upgrade? Check with TM because I asked 100 and they checked and said that I was not under contract. When I took the RM10 upgrade, there was a contract renewal. They even gave me a new C1200. I asked via email and got the same answer, out of contract. Hmmm.
*
My account, my sis is just using it but I'm the owner.
Yes, RYE 2017 with RM 10 top up. If not under contract is the best, then can downgrade anytime.
I was told my contract was refreshed upon upgrade.

NO PENALTY no matters you upgrade/downgrade (but unsure same plan like 100Mbps can change to new 100Mbps or not.)

Notes:
Contract will renew no matters your contract ended.
No more turbo, as gave turbo ahead.
No changing equipment except BTU if faulty.
Must go TMpoint youself ONLY.

All above answer can be found inside their NEW faq.

*
My Turbo to 800Mbps still no news, will change to this plan first since my sister requests for it as she's the one paying bill every month. sweat.gif

Well, in a way, she was right too. Eventually TM will start throwing price for Turbo plans. laugh.gif

QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Sep 10 2018, 10:43 PM)
Better contact TM directly either via their OCS or call 100 instead : )

tm would be very happy and give you simpler solution if u decide to upgrade but when downgrading time/ termination they will give you 1001 headache

happened every time since 1987
*
I already planned to walk-in Menara TM in these few days since that's the nearest to my office.

confused... 500MBps...
*
500Mbps.. But still if speed is maximized you should be getting 62.5MBps.

QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Sep 10 2018, 10:53 PM)
That's was EXACTLY thanks to NEW Maxis Fiber, TM was copied it and allowed existing users switch to TURBO-AHEAD plans and re-contract instead of penalty.
Maybe stop bleeding (jumpship) to Maxis and TIME...
*
Good to know this.

QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Sep 10 2018, 10:54 PM)
from my experience dealing with TM
via OCS ticket they will give you different answer
via 100 helpline they will give you different answer
when u walk in to the CS ticket they will give you different answer

finally when tech come they will give you different solution while trying to sell you extra service like cable shield lah what ever lah

then either the service will be good for a long time or give you intermittent problem

that is TM to you
*
I know how it works, anyway if their answers are not aligned then please answer to MCMC. Not the first time I complained them to MCMC. tongue.gif

I was told the same too. Maybe it's a glitch. I'm sure TM would not have given out free routers without a contract.

This what I got from email.

My RYE2017 service start date is Dec 4, 2017.
*
Keep that as proof, good for you. I will try to ask for mine too.
Regardless, will walk in at soonest to check out what it has for me.

QUOTE(JimbeamofNRT @ Sep 10 2018, 10:59 PM)
from your experience dealing with MCMC, how long does they take to solve your problem?

thanks
*
Within a week to solve between me and TM with MCMC as middle person.

Thanks for checking. I guess mine's a glitch. Won't make any difference. While I have a penalty free option of changing to the RM129 package, I probably won't do it. Feel the need for speed! smile.gif
*
I also want the speed but there's no news until now. sad.gif Especially what happened to my 50-100Mbps upgrade, I'm not optimistic it will be a smooth upgrade.

Reading about other who got Turbo-ed shakehead.gif
Going to bed optimistic that tomorrow will be the day biggrin.gif

But seriously quite a few have gotten the upgrade all over Malaysia. Most people don't post about it so it seems like not much is happening. A random forumer from GS I talked with yesterday also got his Turbo already.

Everyday check few days and still no good update for me. All ends up with disappointment. sad.gif

The worst case scenario, if really can't get 800 Mbps, then at least they should reduce a reasonable price. E.g RM 100.00 nett.  whistling.gif
*
For this, I think you can dream on. laugh.gif
Coming from TM, that will never happen.

Find solutions to improve Internet access, Gobind tells TM

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Broadband service provider, Telekom Malaysia ™, needs to find ways to improve Internet access and penetration nationwide, says Gobind Singh Deo.

The Communications and Multimedia Minister said it was the government's policy to provide broadband Internet access to the people and to give emphasis to the best quality of service.

“It is the government's policy to provide access to all, not only the supply, but also the best quality of service, while at the same time being able to compete with other countries at the international level,” he tweeted on Monday (Sept 10).

Government should stop TM's monopoly, then all services will be good as they face competition.

RM 119 or 129 shouldn't be a problem right? Maybe your Seremban area will get it first. Johor is a bit slow.

Not sure whether they will allow. Still no news as of now.

How you calculate?

Speedtest now shows 71.52
- After i use 40Mhz
- adapter use 20/40Mhz

both shows 300MBps on wifiInfoView and adapter properties
*
You first need to know the difference of Byte (B) and bit (b).
1 Byte = 8 bits

Speedtest by default is in bits, unless you manually change it to Bytes.
Your earlier post which I replied has a screenshot of 4x.xxMBps which you will need to multiply by 8.
