Moving forward, let's not mention MYR returns. That is just forex component and not a real test for how good StashAway's model is.
We just talk about return in term of USD from now on.

QUOTE(vckc @ Jan 31 2019, 12:21 PM) Hi Xing, wanna consult you. How does Stashaway compare with UTs? ETF is more like tracker. I know Stashaway allows us to buy into US ETFs which is appealing because Malaysian ETFs don't perform as well. What are your thoughts? UT is not tracker. But both are still strongly related to market. It's a different investment gear for me. |

Been 'lucky' to procrastinate funding the account till new year's eve. Returns 9.2% in USD on risk index 36%.
Not putting in much though, only RM80/mo as a side experiment to see how much it's worth at year end if I were to invest the cost of a 20 cigarette pack weekly (round up to RM80 from RM75.40 based on RM17.40 pricing) Personally have chosen to put in only monthly instead of weekly due to the length of waiting time for funds to be received up to buying completion that typically takes 3 business days from IBG initiation. |

By right financial crisis shouldn't affect these robo advisors poorly.i just have one question, from now to 30years later, does StashAway this company will still available? how they can assure this. if the next financial crisis happen then they bankrupt apa mcm? how can we claim back our funds/money |

Your money is kept entirely unmingled with StashAway's finances, and your assets will always be held in large institutions. Your cash deposits will be held by our Trustees, Pacific Trustees, in their account at Citibank Berhad. Citibank Berhad will then convert your RM into USD onshore, and transfer it to our broker (Saxo Capital Markets Pte Ltd), which purchases the ETFs on your behalf. Therefore, your investable cash and securities are held in a custodian account at Saxo. Pacific Trustees is a SC-licensed trustee that provides custodial services to StashAway Malaysia. Your cash deposits are held with Pacific Trustees's Citibank Berhad account. Pacific Trustees has opened this account specifically to keep safe the assets of StashAway Malaysia's customers. Similarly, the account with our broker Saxo is also opened by Pacific Trustees. This provides additional security for customers and protects customers from the unlikely event that StashAway Malaysia goes bankrupt, as customers' funds are unmingled with StashAway Malaysia's. We are regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia. StashAway is the first robo-advisor in Malaysia to be awarded the Capital Markets License by the Securities Commission under the Digital Investment License Framework. You can find our license here. This one? it doesnt tell us how can we contact Pacific Trustees?? does anyone know what to do if StashAway run away with the funding? |
