so i decided to change the compressor..cost me 700 for original sanden excluding workmanship..the foremen didnt ask to change filter and valve..is it ok not to change it?

i also decided to try the liquimoly engine flusher and change my eo to the castrol 15w40 bought from owlstation @ lazada..my car nows feel very heavy and no pickup..engine sound terrible when accelerating..

is it due to change of compressor or the engine oil?? pls help me..the workshop is close today so cant go there and complaint..

edit: i tried driving again..can it be the compressor because when i off my aircond the power is normal..but when the aircond is on, the car feels like underpower..
*
Hmm. The theory of my air cond guy is since already buka already it's better to change the filter & expansion valve. The very reason is air cond is closed system. So if you didn't change the filter that works with previous system, the metal sharpnel trapped could dislodge and subsequently damage new compressor.

On the power reduction & noise I seriously have no idea. Could it be the new compressor receive not enough of compressor oil thus hard for engine to pull? Just curious.

Guys , I have been told by the mechanics my rear weheel bearing need to be replaced. I was quoted RM100 ++ for a normal bearing , RM200++ for better quality one... Why the bearing so expensive ? Just curious ... My rear is equipped with disc brakes with ABS. I'm wondering the abs and non abs version bearing are different ? My car clocked 50k KM in 3 years time . Why the car so many problem ? haha

You uses as grab is it? What's the current mileage? If mileage exceeding 200k km and many problems, time to change car then. If not mistaken, Proton design Campro engine with 200k km target for service life, so there's reason for parts failing beyond that. Of coz there are many goes beyond and even till 800k km I have seen, but maybe they already changed quite number of parts for maintaining it?

No , it's a second hand car btw. 50k km clocked in 3 years. The engine itself is ok ... Just the absorber , mounting , bearing ..... Seems like it's not going to last .... However , I really enjoyed driving he car , so stable compared to other car... I have changed brake pads , absorber mounting so far .... I was just told that the absorber , mounting , bearing need to be replaced as well .

How often you drive your car? Thing with bearing is it's wear and tear. I haven't changed mine as of now with 329,000km clocked in 7 years. I won't be surprised if need to change la.. I stood by original parts. If can get original. If cannot just use best quality possible.

My gen2 now 78k km, absorber failing twice in this period. Other than that quite problemless except some accessories gremlins such as power window, door handle. Don't have bearing issue thus far. Engine mounting could be not in good condition as minor vibration during idle.

My biggest problem is the heavy FC in city traffic jam, so now I seldom drive it to work now

On my gen2 it's KYB.
You can get cheaper Proton original at Zordaq, their price very competitive. Come with Proton packaging and stamp.

700 is the normal price, but better to change the filter and valve together la..

try to check in a different shop if they overfilled your compressor. Sometimes that happens, they put it too much gas and it feels too heavy and kicks in and out very fast.

Im using NTN rear bearings, around RM95 a side for non ABS persona. For ABS maybe a bit more expensive, but not till RM200 level expensive. Its a very good OEM one.
Yes there are different ones for ABS and non ABS persona. Non ABS persona uses drum at the back, ABS uses disc. So the bearing design is totally different.

Wow, sounds like you've been testing various suspension... So at the end which one you most satisfied with?
