I tried MBB card and no issue. So it's only SCB cards. Tried removing and can't add back because same page will appear for verification. sleep.gif
No matter how long I waited, it will not load to OTP page.

Not sure what happened with SCB cards, or it's only my SCB cards.

Lemme try my SCB card right away.

OK, same issue with my SCB card. MBB card went through without any issue though.
*
Both my SCB cards also can't load. I tried PBB since someone already did MBB and its fine.

Thanks all for the test. At least I feel relief I'm not alone.
Hmm. No. No charges. sweat.gif

OK, I'm going to ask support chat why I got charged when I clearly told them I had made 2 successful referrals.

Usually they will check your referrals before proceeding, did they?
*
Issue resolved.

It was system error (why does this always happen to me?) - they said I qualify for free upgrade and will reverse the charge.

I must say, I love their CS chat team. Very friendly and human... Feels like talking to a real person who wants to help rather than a clueless robot.

I thought their live chat is until 6pm? I saw 9-6pm? I was about to contact them just now for SCB issue but didn't start the chat as I saw the timing.
*
It's still operating! Try it, someone responded to be within a couple of minutes both times. I literally reported here the moment I ended my chat with them.

used my cc for 2BP account. koyak lo

Based on what CS told me, a CC can only be tied to one account (can't use the same CC for other accounts).

The first account you topped up after the security measures were introduced will be the one your CC is tied to. So, are you able to top up that first account with your CC?

I paid my tax by reloading BP with CB cards over 2 months. Not necessary to pay in one shot, as long as before filing deadline. As my cards CB all much higher than 0.8%, it's definitely worth it.

Which credit card do use? Thought most cashback cards are capped at a certain cashback limit / month.
*
Monthly normally to reach 10k:

PBB VS 633.85
PBB QM 600
MBB FCB 2500
SCB JOP 2500
SCB LFC 1500

Balance with HLB Fortune (1%CB) or MBB MUVI (5xTP if Man U wins) or HSBC VS (5x points equivalent to 1.67% for RM3k spend).

I change the composition every month depending on whether I use the card directly to get the CB, promotions or need to hit a particular target.

My husband and I have almost identical card inventory so it gives us 20k per month on BP for family expenses.

MBB FCB seems to have no CB anymore. Have been 2 months not receiving the CB.. (Last CB was 31 Jan 2019).
Do you have this issue?
*
My latest statement was 8 March and I got CB on 28 Feb. No problem.

For HSBC VS, the point can use to convert to cashback? Minimum must hit RM3k per month only can get cashback?
*
HSBC VS - sorry, I should have put "5x points on up to RM3,750 spending, 1x points thereafter".

For online spending you get bonus 5x points (i.e. 1x normal points + 4x additional points), but capped at 15,000 additional points per month.

So if you spend up to RM3,750, you will get a max of 18,750 points (i.e. 3,750 normal + 15k additional). Then use the points to redeem online vouchers e.g. Lazada, Grab, 11St. (https://sp.hsbc.com.my/vs)

Note: I haven't tested whether we still get additional points for online spend since BP changed its MCC (as HSBC is my last resort card). Can check out the HSBC thread for further discussion.

How much CB do you gain from each of those cards / month?
I've only been playing with airmiles and using M2P as much as possible. Topping up BP with MUVI.
Thought you gain more from airmiles than just Cashback.
*
Assuming I just use the top 5 cards, CB is 253 for total spend of 7733.25. Yield is therefore 3.3%. All those cards (except for PBB VS) have relatively low income requirements, which is good for people who can't get M2P.

Plus, many people I know prefer cash rather than airmiles, because airmiles only get you to the destination.. You still have to find time to travel and pay for the holiday!

Doesn't even need to be overseas. Starting fees for international school cost more than my fees when I was in uni overseas (more than a decade ago).

I just encountered the same error on my Maybank card too. Last transaction was on 30 March and no error at all. This card is solely used on my account and definitely not OTP, CVC or expiry date error.

I also called MBB to check what went wrong and they said my card is perfectly fine but the transaction was rejected by merchant. Did you call MBB?

I will live chat with CS tomorrow to see what went wrong. I tried PBB card and no issue there.

Update on my MBB reload problem. I called both MBB and BP to clarify:

My first transaction was rejected by MBB due to incorrect OTP (my fault). Thereafter, my 2 subsequent transactions were reversed by BP for security reasons (due to initial rejection by bank).

As I had tried too many times, I can't reload with that card for 24 hours. I was advised by BP to try again tomorrow. No problem from MBB side.

My friend just told me her very bad experience with BP, which is pretty scary:

She tried to withdraw RM2k via ATM (can't remember which bank), but it ran out of notes and her transaction was rejected. She showed me her BP app with a strikethrough amount, which looks perfectly normal.

Late last night, she suddenly got a "low balance" notification and found that her balance was RM1k++ negative, as BP had deducted RM2,006. Can't remember what the transaction said, but it was something like "cash at XXXXXXX (random series of numbers)" and already marked as "settled". She tried contacting CS via chat but no response yet.

I recall reading about some people who had similar experience with negative balance after failed ATM withdrawal. How long did it take for the issue to be resolved? I told my friend that there is still hope.... but she's panicking like crazy.

Update on my friend's negative balance case.

She said she sent lots of messages to CS in wee hours (live chat was offline) but by the time she woke up and they replied, the amount was strike through and reversed back. Glad it's ok now, but she was freaking out at the time it happened, and I think I would have too.

I'm apathetic but frankly speaking, I just find your excuse a big BS. You're just looking to game the system & at the same time, scared of getting caught.

Wise words.

Many of the threads have degenerated into this kinda thinking.

Just got back from holiday in Europe and enjoyed super good FX rates from BP. Could use everywhere (using signature, not PIN) except for an old petrol station, which also rejected all my other Malaysian CCs (I tried Maybank, PBB, SCB, Citi and HSBC!).

Bad news is that I tried to withdraw my excess cash (3k) when I got back, but rejected due to insufficient ATM notes. Now BP balance deducted. Read from this thread that some people got it reversed within a few hours where some people waited 2 months! Scary....

Yo, person from Bigpay is here.
For your case, if you have the receipt of the transaction, and the money is still not refunded, go to chat via the app then sent the receipt for proof and to us to check on your behalf.
*
Thanks. Did that already immediately after the incident and was told to fill in a dispute form which will take up to 60 working days to resolve.
