Agreed. Unexplained downtime yest evening and now, these are pretty "peak" usage hours. And we are left guessing what's going on and how long it's going to take to resolve.

Was yours online or physical swipe? I don't want to use mine until the app has come back online in case my bill payments get stuck and I can't trace what's gone through.

I just tried to top up twice with my HLB CC, but after entering in OTP, I got diverted onto some BigPay advertisement asking me to download the app (which is redundant since I was already using the app).

Now when I check my HLB, the transactions are marked as successful but my BigPay account hasn't updated.

Worse still, if both are successful, it will exceed my RM10k balance limit as well as monthly quota.

So now I have no idea whether they've gone through or not, and whether I should again.

Has anyone encountered this BigPay advertisement problem?

Update: Both transactions finally posted on BigPay. Before they went through I transferred out money to my husband so that my balance would not exceed RM10k. But it means that this month I exceeded my RM10k CC quota and now have a large balance sitting inside the card.

Don't try again if its a large amount (for up to half an hour), unless you don't mind the extra funds being stuck.

I tested using RM1 on my husband's app, and it also displayed the BigPay advertisement. I seriously hope they fix this soon. Why in the world would an ad for the app pop up IN the app?

Is anyone else getting the BigPay advertisement page and a lag (15-30 mins) after topping up and entering OTP / TAC?

I updated the app, uninstalled and reinstalled, logged in and logged out....but cant get rid of the problem. My mum has exactly the same phone as me (Samsung S7) and no issue.

I confirm I was diverted to the BigPay official website (which I thought was was an ad, since it keeps saying get the app!).

Once you get to this page, you can only click "back" and there is no indication whether the transaction was successful or not.

It is very puzzling why the app would divert me to the website insides of the transaction status page.

Re the diversion to BigPay Web after top up, I've experimented with all sorts of things and no success. Here's what I've tried:

- Use different CC: HLB, HSBC, PBB, SCB, MBB

- Different BigPay accounts and phones: Tried 5 family members, no trend. Mum has exactly same phone as me but hers works, mine doesn't. 3 of us have problems, 2 don't.

- Different days and times: This problem has been ongoing for 2 days, every single time

- Log out, turn off, uninstalled app, cleared cache, restarted phone... All not working

If this doesn't get resolved soon my Monday PBB swiping is going to be awful lol.

Also, the delayed top up means that I've exceeded my monthly CC topup quota (more than 10k already due to double top up).

Delayed topup only shows up 15-30 minutes later.

I did my reloads sequentially i.e. 60.01, 60.02 ... so I could track.

Got my usual redirection to the BigPay webpage after entering OTP.

What was weird was that the reloads were reflected in BigPay app randomly i.e. I'm still waiting for numbers 4 and 6, while the rest have already come in.

My topup (number 6 out of 8, after being redirected) came in only at 02:38am despite entering OTP at 12:46am (which is also the timestamp on the app).

Anyone having trouble topping up via CC now? I'm on holiday overseas and trying to reload, but can't get onto the OTP page for any of my CCs after entering CVC.

Just completed mine - latest top up I've done in a long time.

Am overseas so had even more difficulty completing, and my last page loaded only 50% of the time. I probably entered in OTP successfully 12-15 times, but currently BP only shows 8. Will check tomorrow if the top ups finally show up.

Not sure what's been happening to BP customer service, but seems to be going downhill.

My brother tried to sign up for BP card, but got stuck at the submission of documents stage as they asked him to "please check your NRIC data or try to upload passport". Tried to call (no one picked up), sent FB messages and also e-mailed 2x, no response.

I've got no problems with using BP, but the back-end support really needs to step up. Things like app downtime, non-responsive CS....

They are definitely correct - I double checked myself and everyone in my family has already signed up with no issue.

The only anomaly with his NRIC number (compared to the rest of my family) is that he was born outside Malaysia, so the middle 2 digits are those for the country he was born in. I don't know if that affects anything (I don't think it should), but that is the only outlier we could think of. It would be helpful if someone could respond to his e-mail so we can actually figure out what's wrong.

I had a different experience with MyEG. Tried to pay the following, which were unsuccessful:

1. Roadtax on 9 January
2. Maid permit on 11 January

Used different BP cards for the above, both couldn't be processed as it said something like "only Malaysian cards allowed".

Same, I tried 2 BP cards, and also used both options as bank selection. I tried everything!

I ended up paying both with PBB VS, which also worked instantly.

Reporting a dodgy transaction that I just discovered (typing this while trying to call BP CS, which NEVER PICKS UP, and also waiting for them to reply my in-app messages).

I just saw a "reversed" transaction at 3.41am today for a CIMB ATM withdrawal for RM1506 (including RM6 fee). I was obviously fast asleep at that time, and my BP card is with me.

How in the world can there be an ATM withdrawal at that time without my card?

Thankfully it was unsuccessful because I only had RM200 in my account. But OMG...imagine if the amount had actually been taken.

Ugh. Ok, CS is attending to me on the app now. Will update when they have investigated.

Update to my situation: I was instructed to freeze my BP card and send in a dispute resolution form (done).

No idea how an ATM withdrawal attempt (for RM1,500 at CIMB at 3.41am!) could have been made without my card.

I really don't dare to load significant amounts into my card anymore. While I understand that technical glitches can happen, it is pretty scary when you see an unrecognised ATM withdrawal!

On an unrelated note, the in-app CS service is pretty good. The person speaks like a real human (quick, straight to the point, helpfully and clearly) and also sent me the Dispute Form very quickly. It was quite reassuring.

In contrast, I can't get through to the phone service (no one ever picks up), FB (I got a reply to my FB message ONE WEEK later) and e-mail responses are slow and also unhelpful (i.e. my brother has been trying to sign up to BP for more than a week, and the e-mails he receives are totally clueless).
