My example did not include "
giving your credit card to someone to use"... I don't know how you managed to stretch it this far. Sorry, but to me, making broad statements about bank's supposed rules and legality and making unfounded assumptions about a simple comment is the "scare-mongering" that I wish would stop.
In MY "normal" scenario: Cardowner can input all the details in, load up, delete the card. BP app is like any payment gateway (like how a parent would enter into their CC details on a webpage to pay their kid's school fees or buy plane tickets on behalf of someone else). Anyway, the TAC will come to the card owner's phone in order for the CARDOWNER to authorise the transaction. There is no need for anyone to one use anyone else's card.
Your transfer example is an unnecessary additional step that you have suggested because of your perceived "rules" and interpretation of "legality". It will not work in the following circumstances:
1. High income earner has many dependents and already used up his RM10k CC monthly allowance. I was in exactly this situation where I paid for my family airfare on my husband's card, loaded money for hotels on my card, and loaded my housewife mum's card for her shopping expenses. My own RM10k wasn't even sufficient to cover my airfare let alone transfer to others.
2. The daily transfer limit is RM2k. School fees, plane tickets, and hotels can bust this limit. I think transferring RM2k on a daily basis looks as (or even more) "suspicious" than reloading directly with a legitimate reason.
Anyway, I have given enough examples and provided my 2 cents in this post and previous ones. My overriding objective is to provide examples of the flexibility of the card (which I strongly believe is an excellent product), and to encourage "common sense, moderate, responsible and fair" usage of the card for its intended purpose without having to be paranoid about being banned.
