Maybe your bank would be super happy if you rephrase this example and tell them this story:

"why you (i.e. Person A) would use another person's (Person B)'s CC [WITH PERSON B HOLDING PERSON B'S CARD, ENTERING THE DETAILS, HIDING IN A SEPARATE ROOM AND/OR USING THEIR HAND TO SHIELD THEIR CARD AND PHONE FROM PERSON A, WHILE PERSON B COVERTLY READS THE OTP PERSON B RECEIVED ON PERSON B'S PHONE AND ENTERS INTO PERSON A'S BP APP] to reload Person A's prepaid card".

Or you can simply adopt your genius transfer suggestion as it is evidently the best and most legal most correct way of doing things.
*
You are really troublesome.

Person A uses Person A's card

Person B uses Person B's card

Settled.

Why do you talk so much?

Which is exactly why the RM10k cap on CC hurts. Instead of buying a Rolex using Maybank CC, it’s way better to top up BigPay with the Maybank CC and buy using BigPay due to the FOREX savings.

Just an example, don’t buy Rolex is Switzerland, it’s one of the most expensive places to buy Rolex in the world.
*
Heard this passing saying while in Europe. Was told not all Rolex are made in Switzerland. But all Rolex in Switzerland are made in Switzerland so more expensive.

She already explain multiple times that there are legitimate reasons (especially with family members) for person B to use his/her own card to top up person A's BigPay, but you insist on your own arbitrary interpretation to say this should never be done, there's never a reason, and that it is abusive behaviour.

Not everyone has a credit card. And CCs aren't meant to only be used the way you think is legit.
Posting date is simply the date that the transaction is settled, it is not 'FOR' statement month, the statement month is using it because they can't use transaction date (extreme cases posting date can be months later). In the case of BigPay this is useful because exchange rate which is shown will differ eventually based on posting date, among other reasons.
*
I said, may be in the card's TnC, you can't give your card to others to use. And he got all bad.

Have anyone withdraw using BigPay in Japan before? I’m heading there and just wanna change a very minimal amount here and withdraw there for a better exchange rate.

But I worry that suddenly cannot work or some ATM makan the card then I’m doomed for the trip.
*
This is why it's advisable to use an ATM that is located inside a bank and do it during banking hours. If the machine makan your card, you can always ask for help right there and then.

Aside from RM10, what exchange rate it follows ? Master rate or ATM bank rate ?
*
AFAIK there are ATM by bank and ATM by money changer. Try to avoid the latter.

BP said if one got 2 people to apply and activate their card, they will get a free upgrade to the Wave card. Done that and see nothing. I thought BP will automatically do the upgrade without us having to do anything else? Any idea?

That's why I don't encourage people to use CC in China, let alone BigPay. The acceptance level is very low over there. smile.gif

Not everybody can have China bank account and phone number.

And if you get someone to transfer Yuan into your Yuan account and you didn't use it, how do you take the money out?

another valid reason to support my guess that the issue is resides at pb instead of telco, is, i can send SMS and received SMS to/from another mobile sim during the "OTP failure time".
*
Many possibilities. I have not have problem with receiving BP's OTP locally.
But while overseas, I can receive SMS from other sources but not BP's.

Is there a need to receive SMS from BP?
When reload BP in overseas, just need OTP from source of funds, right?

OTP comes by SMS. So no SMS, no OTP. No OTP, no transfer of fund.

*
It not down. It have gone haywire instead.

On my apps, it now says RM 10 gives you GBP 0.18. Normal is around GBP 1.80

That makes Bigpay 10 times more expensive than any other credit card.

If use a money changer ATM, of course they will impose other charges. And some foreign bank will also. So you have to check yourself.

Before u key in the amount to send, u should be able to see the name of recipient, ie the owner of the mobile phone number tied to BigPay account

I couldn't see the mobile number. All I see is several with the same name like "Robert" and don't know which one is the correct ones.

No mobile number will be shown, it will only show full name eg, if u allow to sync ur contact to BigPay acc, then u will see those contact based on ur save name in ur phone b4 u choose who to send that appear in the list. Then once u select either one of ur contact, at the amount to send, it will display the full name of the acc holder. Eg, I save my colleague name as ABC - Victor in my contact list and it appear as ABC-Victor, but when I click on his name to send, it bring me to Amount page, above the amount will shown the full name of my friend instead of ABC-Victor
*
People go by many names. They could be listed as Mr Tan or Tan A.K or Robert Tan in the contact list. But when they register with BP, they would be using their full name like Tan Ah Kow.

So it's confusing. Since BP have access to the phone's contact list, may be better to show both the contact list name Robert Tan AND the full name Tan Ah Kow and the photo, if any.

That is why when I sent money, I will just send RM 1 and get them to confirm back. Only after that, I send the full amount.

I’m not sure about ur app display, but I believe should be same. for me using iOS phone, the name appear at the list when I want to send money is based on what I save in my contact, and when I click on the contact name, next page, ie amount page, it will display the full name of my friend.

Eg. When send money, the list of contact who have BigPay display the name as per contact list, ie Robert Tan (when I save the preferred name in my contact list), BigPay app sync my contact book, so I will know who in my contact has BigPay, next page, where I need to key in the amount to send, it will display the full name, ie Tan Ah Kow. So, I confirm this is my friend, unless u dunno the full name of ur friend.. it is something like bank acc.. u can save as favorite payee name as what u like, but, if u do IBFT, it will show the full name of account holder..

For photo, it is depend on whether ur friend upload his/ her photo as profile photo..

Mine Android.

I have sent money to a friend. After that, on my apps, I now found 3 names belonging to the same person.
1. Contact list name, TAK. I picked this name to send money to.
2. After money sent, it shows Tan Ah Kow on transaction. This must be his IC name.
3. Robert Tan. No idea where that came from, probably from his Facebook?

It is a mess.

No. 3 is the preferred name that your friend set under account setting. I agree with you it's a mess. BigPay app should show contact list name AND IC name right before you confirm the transaction.
He only use ONE name to set up his BP account, the IC name (Tan Ah Kow). I don't think BP will accept any other name like Robert Tan beside the IC name. That is why I say I have no idea where that Robert Tan name came from and that raises an important issue, what else does BP know that we don't? What other data are they accessing that we don't know about?

BP should display these simultaneously when sending money:
1. TAK because we are familiar with this name and this is the name in our contact list.
2. The full IC name, Tan Ah Kow.
3. The phone number.

IC number are private and shouldn't be shown.

Oh, now, I know where is the Robert Tan come from.. it is the preferred name this Tan Ah Kow set in his BigPay acc.. u go to ur profile > personal details, u will able to set ur own preferred name..
*
Nope. But in his own phone, he calls himself Robert Tan. Just checked.

So now we seem to have all these 3 different name belonging to the same person all appearing in Bigpay.

1. Your contact list as TAK
2. His BP registration name of Tan Ah Kow.
3. He call himself Robert Tan in his phone.

And we don't get to see his phone number in BP. This is indeed a mess.

He only entered Tan Ah Kow in his BP. Didn't touch the Profile.
