Is it just me or is BP down again?
Same "can't reach you message..." and can't see balance. |

Been using BP in Europe (physical shops) for the past 2 weeks and have never had a problem. Exchange rate is really fantastic.
The only "issue" is that all the transactions go through without PIN, which means anyone can use my card if I lose it and don't block fast enough. |

Just tried topping up using Ambank WMC (2 times) and both failed after entering OTP. However I received Ambank notification that my card was charged twice.
Now not sure if the transactions went through (and will be credited later) or if they were really unsuccessful. Total amount was RM2700 so it's quite annoying as I need to book AA tickets, and topping up another 2700 may exceed my monthly 10k balance (if the original transactions were indeed successful). Too scared to try again. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Aug 26 2018, 11:30 PM) Hubby, parents, siblings all aboard already We just got back from a long family holiday and 10k per card is really insufficient. I left only RM480 quota for Aug on mine to do my PBB promo swipes tomorrow. Need to find out what's happened to this RM2.7k (whether unsuccessful or missing). |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Aug 26 2018, 11:44 PM) if u entered otp and ur credit card is charged, most likely it will be added manually tomorrow. it is precisely this kinda scenario that causes inconvenience, however, some ppl think it’s ok because they are not bank. I'll wait patiently until tomorrow then and hope my ticket prices don't change. "Inconvenience" is one thing, but its a scary thought that large sums of money are temporarily unaccounted for. For many people 2,700 is a significant amount and just not knowing what's happened can be nerve wrecking. I'm not starting a BP bashing session as I am generally a fan and it has served me very well on my overseas travels. However I do sympathise with people who have experienced similar situations to me where there is uncertainty on what's happened to our money. I still have faith in the system and trust that they will work on improving it.... But time is definitely of the essence and hopefully there is some urgency in dealing with these issues posted in this thread. This post has been edited by lilsunflower: Aug 26 2018, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(saboteurs @ Aug 28 2018, 11:39 AM) thats what I did.. top up via online banking after cc limit reach 10k For my trip, I used CC quota of family members (who didn't go on the trip) to top up, then transferred to me. A bit troublesome as I had to Whatsapp them to do the transfers, but at least I could benefit from the CC points (and interest-free credit period).for overseas swipe i think it's worth haha... |

- My transaction without OTP was not approved (received e-mail) - Subsequent transaction WITH OTP - BigPay balance deducted after 3 hours, but no approval e-mail yet |

QUOTE(red_scorpion @ Aug 28 2018, 08:49 PM) can bigpay used to pay in digi bill in digi portal? tried but failed.. :-(..why this big pay always failed when used it online? frustrated . Online payments are such a hit and miss. Just tried to pay Prudential insurance online. My insurance payment got stuck (now marked as pending, but likely failed) while a second payment for my husband was successful. Physical payments work like a dream but online payments are pretty inconsistent. I have a 50% failure rate most times! |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Aug 28 2018, 11:00 PM) To those of you who encountered online payment failure, you just have to give it a couple hours & try again. For me, its usually minutes. One transaction fails, then the next one succeeds.I tried to pay for Lazada last night but it never reach the OTP page even though I received OTP SMS. I tried again today at around 7pm & it went through smoothly. Like what lilsunflower said, it's hit and miss. On a better note, I just did 2 Shopee transactions, and both were successful first time. |

Regardless of the issues with online payments, I will continue to use BP for online spend and report problems with the objective of facilitating improvements by BP.
"Not using for online" doesn't alleviate the problem, as I believe the ultimate objective is for BP to work like a full functioning e-wallet / credit card combo. Through regular usage and reporting, we can see what works well (e.g. Physical spend) and what needs to be improved (e.g. Top ups, online spend). I'm sure this data helps BP focus on areas to fix. |

QUOTE(lionking7791 @ Sep 16 2018, 03:40 PM) Just want to check with you all, the big points is it correctly added base on your topup and spending? I haven't earned anything since 6 September and I am a daily user.My transactions already in settled status and my topup more than RM50 also no big points earn. Already more than 10 days no points in my account. There tends to be a lag in points updates... But based on experience you'll eventually get it. |

Just wanted to share some advantages I recently experienced with BP. It helps A LOT when making big ticket purchases that are higher than CB card monthly quotas.
For example, I used to pay my outstanding tax via LHDN online payment, and would use each of my PBB VS cards one by one.. Up to their 633.25 CB limit. Was always worried that LHDN would question this strange method (thankfully they didn't). I also had great difficultly finding other cards to pay the balance as government transactions are usually ineligible for cashback or reward points for most cards. Now with BP, I just reload my card to the max and don't have to worry about splitting payments. Will be doing the same for DBKL payments, school fees and airline tickets. Very useful! |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 16 2018, 10:32 PM) Just now I simply tried to pay something from my cart and I realised I cannot straight pay using BP without adding it first. Anything that I have done wrongly? Don't know how to help you... But when I click add card, this is what I see (check out screenshot). I get the same page on my husband's account and both of us have no problem adding BP which is stored as the default card. Also, on an unrelated note. Happy to report that online transactions in past 2 weeks with BP have been 100% successful. In my previous posts I mentioned only 50% success rate. Now I'm on 100% and a daily online BP payment user... So this is a significant improvement. No problem using BP to pay online utilities, PayPal, prudential online, zalora, Shopee, lazada, Happy Fresh etc. I was also able to receive OTP and top up easily in 4 different countries over the past 3 weeks. Glad to see improvements in the system. Hope others have also benefitted. As humans we tend to voice out quickly when things go wrong but it's also important to give good feedback when due to facilitate continuous improvements. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 16 2018, 10:46 PM) I know right. Unlucky me. Just for reference, we get to the same page using both mobile and web (desktop), and I also checked using data vs WiFi.Lucky you, yours is the ipay88 page. Mine is redirected to cybersource which can't do be added. Sigh. I will need to think of contingency plan. I believe it is totally random. Not sure if this rejection by Cybersource is a BP issue.... Anyway, since adding BP, I've generally had no issue with paying Shopee except for few weeks ago when I had 50% failure rate for all online transactions and not just Shopee. So that was a BP system problem which I believe has since been rectified / improved. |
