i advice all BP user download the transaction from the app since we begin to use the card to check any discrepancy. realized money missingĀ last friday after check and today the genius CS on the app respond like everything is because user didnt bother to check clearly, ask me to ask my bank. eventually the CS pull transaction statement from his system, found out that BP had NINJA charge 1.5k and somemore it does not showed in app or the excel export, total ninja.
mentioned i will make a complain to BNM because its a direct violation of BNM guideline on Electronic Money, circular BNM/RH/GL 016-3. the CS immediate call me said that it was a misunderstanding. miss my backside. at the beginning so cocky ask me to check this check that, then said i didnt provide the transaction details. How do i give a transaction details if the said transaction is NINJA by BP? all the CS did just want to push the responsibility to me. Godlike level CS.
The case had been escalated and i will only give them until today to gimme a reply before i escalate to BNM.
moral of the story, always check your bill.
yes ninja means an act done without people knowing, and yes it is missing money in my case.
BP statement showed a 1.5k transaction charged to BP without any details. in app, no such charges, in the excel export from app, no such charges. no charges was hide in the app too. so this 1.5k is magic done by BP system.
i mention my account was not tally ask the cs to check and the cs keep asking me provide information. funny la, the cs not willing to check, actually he never bother to check at all.
best part is CS accuse me not given the transaction details. they likely think we the user are god to them because i would have know beforehand that a charge that does not appear in app, or excel export, and only appear in their statement which we will not have it unless we ask BP to provide. because probably only god can predict on which day BP decide to ninja charge its user.
This is a recap of the event after i made my complaint known. I have given BP by yesterday to give me a reply on the matter. At 9.30pm the same CS gave me a pm on the app mentioned that they are still checking the matter and will revert to me ASAP. Well, at least i got a reply.
and then today 9.48am i received the call from the same CS telling me that the traction is indeed, ninja charged but the money isnt missing.
the amount is transfer from my wife card to my card. yes the card in question is my wife card. Her card was mostly only top up, and when she wants to withdraw she will transfer to me.
However, like john said, on 10 nov, i made a transfer and it was failed because i have too much money in my card.

what happened was, later that day my card balance was freed up and BP ninja authorized the said declined transaction, without notification on both our app, AND without ANY entry of the said transaction on both our app, and my wife excel export.
granted i didnt bother to check my own card because my card was use extensively for various top up, withdraw, and purchase. the only thing i check when i realized the problem is whether the money was transferred to me, however in the app it didnt.
SO, a declined transaction reauthorized without BOTH parties knowledge and without ANY entry in both party app, what you call this? i call this ninja Unauthorized charge.
John, BP is a deposit taking financial institute. I believe you guys should know a lot more on how serious it is for proper authorization to be in place on every single transaction. I received another call from Mohan and ask about my feedback and i laid the fact plain and simple, this is an unauthorizes charge, and it was made without the knowledge and consent of both parties.
To be frank, i have enough to sue, or at least make a very solid complaint against BP with BNM. My wife can just lodge a police report directly saying BP had admit on unauthorizes charges and request the money back, and i can said the money already spent and i am not a guilty party. it might stand, and it can stand given how bad it was for the system to unauthorized allow a transaction to go through without any entry. i didnt do so because i am genuinely like BP as a product and how the things in the end unfold, and how i am treated in the later part of the story. i am not usually so mercy.
today i agree to make love with you, so you think anytime anyday when you like it, you can F me? that would be considered as rape, and it consider rape even its between husband and wife. however everyday people around the world are getting raped over and over again by banks and financial institution and it is not okay. BP are the new kid in town and your specifically advertise saying BP are not like others and will not rip of their client(0% forex charges anyone?), and committed such offense. dont sugarcoat BP mistake, it is ninja charge, an unauthorized ninja charge.
Being only months old does not mean things like this can be happened. in tech start-up, you dont get years to grow mature, you get months and if you cannot stand strong enough within months, the existing big player will crush you, and the government will have no mercy as well.
I like and support BP as you do, but i agree that we still have to highlight our concern and issue encountered. And hope BP shall reconsider and do not take for granted on our mercy support. CS is the frontier to cool down frustrated customer, appreciate if the team could be kind understanding and avoid adding gasoline on flame.
