QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Jan 28 2019, 07:46 AM) Not so serious lah. Still can top up from online banking, back to Big Pre-paid, buying AirAsia tickets. Buying Bitcoin, then reload Pre-paid cards, "experts" will find another way to cash-out from credit cards. At least I will be moving away from big pay, completely, I don’t see the benefit of big pay for foreign transaction anymore, as I pay a little fees with cc but I can get much more benefit, same as buying air ticket with AA, other than these, big pay have little to no benefit

QUOTE(BigPayJonathan @ Jan 28 2019, 10:07 AM) You guys are seriously underestimating us lah Or haven't quite understood BigPay's vision / mission. oon, we'll be providing remittance and international transfers with lower fees than anyone. When we provide instant loans at better rates than anyone, with a unique credit scoring system that doesn't just mindlessly take numbers into account - but behaviours... It'll change the game forever. And that's just the beginning Imagine a bank that helps you build financial wellbeing on multiple fronts: literacy, savings, investments... But I understand that if the only reason why you're using BigPay is to gain cashback or rewards, then all of this probably doesn't appeal to you right now. We're not Boost. We don't want to incentivise people to spend. We want them to be financially free. A lot of people aren't lucky enough to have fair access, or even access at all, to all these financial services - and we'd like to change that. Seems like all our discussion and worries above is coming real soon. Remittance and internet transfer: benefit foreign worker the most? Instant loan approval: benefit low income earner the most? But is just another kind of personal loan, this is indirectly incentive people especially low income earner to spend more, end story we all know:)

Good for airasia eco system, imagine one day you want go travel but short of money but u see airasia having promotion very tempting, then u can get instant loan from BigPay then book your travel ticket and hotel via airasia go portal, something interesting .

QUOTE(Barricade @ Jan 28 2019, 01:40 PM) How does one credit card get charged with "cash advance fee" if they did not directly withdraw from ATM using that credit card? It doesn't make any sense. depend on merchant code, just learn that when u swipe at casino it will just classified as cash advance and start counting interest immediately.

QUOTE(tifosi @ Jan 28 2019, 04:09 PM) I love BigPay because I can top up from my CC and consolidate all my spending in a single card while getting rebate from all my CC issuers. I am not like most typical forumer to reload and withdraw (maybe done once or twice because hitting 10k limit). But if it's classified as Cash Advance, it'll be in the drawer until I purchase any AA flight. If that’s the case, actually purchase AA ticket directly using credit card is better, coz cc give u cash back and point , which most likely cover more than the fees charge by airasia

QUOTE(ckweng @ Jan 28 2019, 04:30 PM) So can I take it as nothing has changed in terms of reloading Bigpay with cashback credit cards? Currently yes. But big pay need to know the reaction of their customer if they don’t do it wisely.

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Jan 28 2019, 04:42 PM) Thanks bro. A bit of fee is fine, they earn some, we earn some. Same here. When I had only 2 cash back cards, wasn't a problem. Now that I've added more, pening trying to keep track which one has unutilized cashback to spend. Load everything into BP easier. But so far, I haven't been doing that except for those with weekly cashback to win, that's why i still pening. Trying to minimize giving banks false stats that people only load to cash out, so i still spend directly from credit cards. I don't really care about the points. This said, I think banks also offering similar features BP has planned. Everyone has their version of such products. Customers apply what they feel beneficial to them, not all products. I don't think they need to. I think only a small percentage of people using it to make money from credit cards and I believe most of these people are not even interested in cashing out money from credit cards. More with the cashback. If it’s classified as cash advance means when u reload it is cash advance alr, who else will still reload into big pay?

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jan 28 2019, 09:25 PM) Walk the talk first with proof that you guys are cheaper than instarem/moneymatch/max money when it comes to remittance. If you can offer better rates than them, you will have a loyal customer. You guys are just copying what Revolut done and Revolut have already set up shop in SG. It won't be long before they start to set up shop in Malaysia. And Revolut reach is wider than BigPay's. They used to have big vision with tunepro....but till now their core business still rely on travel insirance

If I ever get such a call, I will ask what I have done wrong (i.e. should I stop), or if it is just a routine procedure. Never give out personal detail if you are not the one initiate the call

QUOTE(talexeh @ Feb 20 2019, 09:32 AM) It's totally understandable if you're frustrated with the uptime but c'mon, the way you phrase it as if BigPay is going down forever & your 4K is stuck inside with no way to get 'em out. FUD much? If it's so stressful, perhaps you should just stop using BigPay & say GG to it permanently? Ya la, the card still can be used what, website manintananc occurs time to time, consider it is new and giving out so much to consumer.
