my opinion as BP card owner... only REASON for me to get the card is AA processing fee waiver... nothing else...

however it doesn't  have the CREDIT benefit... which CC wins
it needs to reload, Debit card wins... imagine reload the card only to use... so double transaction.

Maybe use this card for our kids that study abroad or outstation?
from my perspective, its just another way for BP to hold up our cash int he company for rolling.
*
I like this card, it have a lot more other than AA fees waiver.

I dont think this is bringing bigpay backward..should be making bigpay more complete. Anyway, his suggestions are value added services..
he mean add option to do verification at branch..not that the current in-app online verification is gone..
*
Anyone here have problem to do in apps verification? 1 out of 100? Cost wise it might be very ineffective for big pay to add on such option, I rather they put the money for our card benefit

Hi all,

I will be going to Bangkok tomorrow and I have to pay for my hotel room at the property for THB24000.

May I know is it advisable to load up my BigPay and use to pay for it, or use credit card straight, or use cash @ 12.92/100THB?
*
any expenses denote in foreign currency in will use big pay nowaday

Yes I do agreed with it.

I currently holiday in Taiwan and whenever possible I just use my BigPay for payment, the rate is much more better than exchange rate.

The rate I checked in BigPay app is TWD 100 = MYR 13.56 (settled). When the time I checked for TWD in Malaysia the exchange rate around 14.10

Similar to credit card fraud, unauthorised use of your card, I can't find in their tnc if they do cover up to certain amount. Maybe can do some search on BNM, I do remember seeing BNM having a mandatory protection against fraud etc.
*
No issue with big pay, my experience is they will reverse back in case of fraud

Can elaborate more about your fraud case? This kind of things make me hesitate to keep fund in BP 🤔
*
If the payment not made by u then u just live chat with them, they will reserve back after that, but I not sure if it is the same protection like normal cc.

But anyway, usually big pay will inform you for any payment immediately via apps, so the risk is manageable

Many merchants won't touch your card nowadays, you just wave / slot in card machine yourself without them handling your card. This will minimise the chances of fraud. Nevertheless, fraud is always there, just do your best to protect your card detail / minimise the chances happen to you. Never let merchant swipe your credit card (like those AEON swipe the member card), it will reveal all your info and it is illegal to do so (not sure how true).

With BP, your max lost is 10k (if BP not refunding you). You may top up small amount sufficient for daily use and keep the amount low inside your BP. Else draw cash from ATM will be another good option.
*
and never store your credit card on any website and online merchant, key in manually every time

Very true, maybe just me, since got hit once thank God Citibank covered everything that time that's why quite scared now
I agree and don't think worth it at all by transferring to Boost and withdraw there, Boost tend to have many more problems with withdrawal, BP is very straightforward.
Really not a fan of such publicity, LYN still ok still a small group, just don't want it to go viral. Don't know how long this game will last, just like Shopee, now they want to charge 1% fee already, still remember that time when they launched, they said their biz model very different, they don't need to rely on charging the seller fee, now different story

i am wondering if you are going for trip just swipe and enjoy the moment which only lasted for few days.

if every times also need to check rate, that would be a stress trip. if cheap then buy today, no cheap then maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow before fly back to Msia only buy.
*
Ya lo.... live for life, I know bp is good, so I just use it without worries, I don’t really check the rate or the pending status or the big point things nowaday

In some scenarios, some competitors will put their competing attitude aside and play it fair together just to benefit the consumers, which also will benefit to themselves...

But if that's how yellow man thinks, then good luck yellow man, you come out with Happy Mastercard or Angry Unionpay also won't do you any good.

if can’t accept cc reload and can’t withdraw then means rubbish card d la

How so? I still spend whenever I need to. No more no less.

I only visit place accept credit card, and since some of them only accept card for more than 50 spending.... so 2 dishes become theee dishes...

I rarely do online shopping, after having BP since it have no foreign transaction fees and easy tracking, start online shopping.

And I travel oversea a lot, no foreign transaction just encourage me spend much much more, last time change note to spend, u roughly have the budget, but now become unlimited as long as you have credit in BP....
