Conscious of that. Things have changed a fair bit since the last time I spoke about it. Not going to say anything that'll sound like an empty promise right now but we'll make a big announcement in February.

I believe it's a major enhancement,to allow the conversion to the new wave feature. Not sure how many have actually changed to the new card. If majority has changed and left a smaller percentage still using the old card, probably BP will not waste much time on this.
*
Those is ok, as long as the key feature remained

AMEX topup is no different from any other CC topup as gov has standardised the fees. So why not sustainable? May as well say CC topup is unsustainable (which I agree, but that's not what you were saying).
*
Are u sure Amex merchant fees same as visa master?

And option of withdrawal to bank account.
*
With a small charge.
BP should continue offer cc top up and withdrawal as this Make itโ€™s product flexible and attractive, however a small fees can be accepted to make it sustainable

not all phone has NFC though. and yes u have a point, we can't see the amount before confirmation - for now we just got to make do with the amount on the cash register.
*
User point of view nfc contactless definitely better lo, like Apple Pay etc....

The barcode things is very cacat, I rather use my physical card to wave...

some we have to scan their barcode and input the amount, but that's troublesome. wechat in china is how?
*
Both, most retailer they have the scanner, and this is better. If not, u will scan their code.

I have always been an advocate for not using the "contactless" feature (a.k.a PayWave) cause it is a security NIGHTMARE. Stolen cards can still be used up to RM 250, I hope one day BNM will reduce the physical card contactless to RM 30 one day.

But in the modern day, security and convenience don't mix well. So what I do is always turn off or physically destroy the contactless feature by cutting the fine copper wires embedded inside the card with a razor.

The exception is, Samsung Pay, Maybank Pay or CIMB Pay.

Well, I am the opposite....

Haha I'm at overseas now. Yesterday almost finished my money thought today can reload and use again.

Luckily I have other back up cards. This is why I am still not comfortable only relying solely on BigPay when going overseas. I would be so helpless in this kind of situation. Hopefully BP will get stable soon.
*
u will at least bring one or two cc with diff bank right...
I will always have 2 diff cc from two diff bank in my wallet when oversea

I have other cc luckily. I was saying this in response to someone who previously said he only bring big card to overseas and it is reliable. So now I suggest better don't. Always need back up in case things like this happen.
*
My recent trip I bring no cash to japan. Use big pay whole trip , but I do have others cc in backup, just I din use it

No issue for me. Maybe your phone problem. I tried 3 wrong fingerprints and failed then 4th time able to log in with the right fingerprint - continuously.
Nope. Point is given per transaction basis with minimum RM20 spent in a single receipt. Not accumulatively.

Suggestion: also please don't forcefully spend until meet RM20 requirement to get that one point. 1 AABigpoint= RM0.01 (that's a 0.05% return rate technically) ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

big point is the least important feature for big pay

Agree with digidigi completely. I don't use BigPay to earn AA points. There are many better ways to earn AA points. I have over 100k points always and I won't waste my time to sweat over 1 point ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Use Bpay for the good foreign currency rate and CC CB๐Ÿ‘
*
thatโ€™s why I am very satisfy with big pay as I never worried abt the pending and the delay in point credit balance.

Cc top up and overseas use is the must have feature. Without either one will be the end of bp:)

Yes u can get free ticket by using bigPoints. But as mentioned before 1 bpoint = Rm0.01. If your ticket price is RM100, u would need 10000 points to redeem a ticket. So good luck collecting 10k points through BigPay, it will take forever ๐Ÿ˜

But if u don't have enough points for a full ticket price, u can use the points u have (let's say you have 100 points=RM1) to offset your flight add-on, ticket price for example. So in this case, u pay RM99 for a RM100 ticket price(RM1 off-set by using 100 bigPoints.) - all of this can be done at Big Loyalty website. Go Google please.
*
The proper way to use big point is through final call

i mean if you have more than enough pts but want to 'save' the BP pts only for final call sale and use for air fare.. and pay others cash.. isnt possible. in terms of getting the best value for the BP pts - using BP pts for other fees isnt worth it..
*
actually I should say like that, big point give the option to access final call sales, this is the value of big point, otherwise in term of value per point it is not great, thats why I will only use 500 point for final call, and remaining balance and charges all by cash

Only 1 of my friend uses Bigpay, so pretty useless to me. biggrin.gif

It's kinda difficult to convince people you know to use BigPay, cuz they don't even understand or wanna know what convenience a prepaid card provides.

And let's not even get started about convincing people to use e wallets as well.
*
Depend, 4 out of 5 of my friend use it after I introduce , especially if they travel oversea and online shopping a lot

Oh then no choice, but you booked from HK? So in HKD? If foreign currency, then maybe ok la, you save the 2-2.5% forex, then use that to buy travel insurance, which is normally better than credit card protection (depending on which credit card)
If no credit card then no choice. But for air ticket, or anything which has free protection from credit card, I'll normally use credit card. BP advantage (for local spend) is only the BP points, which is rather useless if you ask me.
*
If u fly domestically then ok to use big pay to save processsing fees la, actually even without travel insurance protection, basic protection still provided by airline for example fight delay etc
