QUOTE(blurkia @ Aug 8 2020, 10:40 AM) maybe i can help you here as i have both of them (Cx-5 2.0 GLS - 2020, Civic TC 2016). sorry out of topic. did u manage to fix your steering problem with civic?Handling wise, you will feel civic is better. But I feel the steering is much heavier than CX5's. So for town ride, I will prefer Cx5 haha. Now, for power, nope, Civic will cruise the hills with not much effort, CX5 is okay, but you know it's working hard for it. In terms of space, though civic is spacious, but there's not much space or holes to throw your stuffs u know? When u sit in, that's the space, CX5 has more places to put things. And, Civic has the annoying steering rack issue, i fixed mine once, now it seems to be back I have yet to go for long journey with CX5, i just drove on Penang bridge, seems okay to me. I don't get why you say the tech is old in CX5, i'd take CX5's interior anyday, memory seat function, and the annoying sensors (in a good way), 360cam, front cam all good for me. just my 2 cents.. cheers |

QUOTE(hihihehe @ Aug 8 2020, 09:00 PM) How the smart city brake support works? I can’t remember the exact speed range where it’s activated. But I do know it works. Like another explained, don’t rely on it but if all setup nicely (and your hardware works?) it should activate once triggered. Lowest speed range I’ve had it triggered is around 2xkm/h. Just normal driving and suddenly car in front slowed down abruptly, instinctively hit the brake pedal, but the system was faster and took those away. You feel the brake pedal go *soft* on you and there’s this very noticeable vibration & juddering the car gives off. In all triggered cases, it stops proper or at least warns (flashing BRAKE wording in red & black) to begin braking. My only issue with such systems is that, the car behind me probably doesn’t have such and so you hope their car braking & driver reaction is fast enough. Thankfully, for all mine...all also stopped well. I enabled mine and tried during heavy traffic by let it cruise on idle D but it doesnt help me brake when its really near the car in front? I nvr press brake during the process until tbe last minute of coz QUOTE(blaze91 @ Aug 8 2020, 09:56 PM) yeahh but in another way feel like 2.5 is just too much for city driving. Sadly, here have to pay based on engine size.. Not to mention other higher fees. Really takes all the fun away, unless one is fantastically rich and can comfortably afford. Finally got the chance to stretch the missus' ride over the weekend on the highways. The acceleration feels very brisk and almost effortless. Without realising it, I was almost at 160-180 and kickdown was pretty much instant when I wanted to change lanes and overtake cars on the middle lane. I was so tempted to 'cucuk' people back when I give way to tailgaters cos the car gives me that sort of confidence to drive fast vs my previous rides. Need to consult the manual to confirm the max speed cut off point. But should be around 80km/h. Overall, we must treat em as "assist systems". Stay sharp. If yes, then problem solve, proceed and replace the rest |

Btw, another query. Just to check that for our service, it is really free and not required to pay a single cent? Cos I dropped my wife's ride for first inspection, [understood 1st one not required to pay since inspection], the remainder of the servicing during warranty period, is it really free and we don't need to pay for consumables like engine oil, labour etc??
Just wondering. Cos for my Myvi servicing, I know it's not free service each time and still need to pay for engine oil etc... Only my fuel pump replacement was FOC. This post has been edited by woodentiger86: Aug 11 2020, 11:46 AM |

Hi all, would you guys take rm3600 5years warranty or take 6years without rm3600?
Is engine mounting, intakes pipe those rubberise in engine count? Very scare where car manufacturers give lot warranty end up many term and conditions. Anyone familiar with this? |
