Anyone did ceramic coating here? Was told it will last for 5 years with warranty. Is it worth doing?

How much is it?

Also what do you expect to get out of the coating?

Was told no need to wax car for 5 years & car will be shining. Easier washing
Coating on rim, seats, windscreen. paint not easily scratched
quoted RM2500... hmm.gif

IMO.. For regular KV drivers? Best to skip and just enjoy the car as is.. Couple years down the road you can repaint if you want to keep. Unless yours is the SRC color. Read that one is super prone to chips and visible scratches. In which case.. PPF/wrapping is advised. NOT coating. No matter how premium and expensive the coating is, the shop will never say it can 100% protect against "mere" stone chips, much less idiotic motorcycle riders. Even bird poop also, you have to wash off.

Tq so much for your input

DRL stands for Day running light.

Actually it is invented for those country with morning fog. You no need to switch on the headlamps but just the DRL.

For our car, switch the headlight to AUTO, and it will turn on for you during day time.
And Malaysian like DRL, even without morning fog.  brows.gif

Indeed it is.
Once the gear lever is switch to D, the DRL will turn-on automatically.
It will not light up if the engine is on but the gear position is in P or N.

Very good if you are spying on other people at car park at night tongue.gif

Words of advise though, if you plan to install after-market DRL cum signal light indicator, this DRL will light-up automatically after the engine is started, so will lose the stealth ability at night  blush.gif

Does the car need to move. I stopped my car at my porch and put on D, pull up hand brake and hold button. Got down quickly but saw no lights hmm.gif

Yes.. The DRLs only come up full when headlamps aren't set to "auto" and the car starts moving. If you just started the car and walk outside.. they'll be off until you roll off.. As mentioned, its good cuz doesn't come on unless it has to. Similarly when driving and switch to auto lamps.. The DRLs either go off or at minimum are dimmed down.. I'm unsure.. But I do know that, it doesn't shine as bright any more.. How? Try in basement car parks where one has to go around and around to each floor and with mirrors so you don't run into some other car, coming down/up as you.. You should see the lights in action. biggrin.gif

Yup got it to illuminate when I move d car foward slightly. I reversed out and move forward a bit and voila biggrin.gif

I did.

Warranty is a tricky part, as SC especially Bermaz will take photo and note down the mods done to your car when you send for servicing.
Whether they will entertain any claim will depend on them so if you're worried on your warranty, just keep your car lock, stock and barrel for the next 5 years

So install at your own risk

Wow...must be more fun to drive.
How much did u pay for it.
Yeah agree on d waaranty which is on mercy of sc
