Eh? Doesn't look like mine.. Will take photos of mine so you can compare. Yours doesn't look like stock mats. Perhaps, they gave you custom ones as part of the purchase deal??  hmm.gif

Hi,

I have been a silent reader on this thread and I have browsed through every post including those in V1.

I am very interested in buying CX-5 2.2D but I could not find specifically info on any post-Raya promotions. I would like to buy before SST kicks in (though I have read some dealers would be willing to absorb it nonetheless). I just thought I could get some nice deals within this tax holiday period.

So any SA's here are very much welcome to message me. Thank you and apologize in advance should my reply violate any rules in here.

At this moment, there are no promo or discount for cx-5 because of overwhelming response and shortage of stock...
Bermaz (Mazda Malaysia) have already annouced that they will absorb SST for the bookings made before 31st Aug but from what I've heard from my SA is that booking confirmed AND loan approved then only Bermaz will absorb the SST....

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Oh well, guess I'm out of luck and running out of time to get everything done before August 31st.. I also heard from an agent that 2.2D 4WD is currently unavailable. I will be waiting for the next "tax holiday period" then, finger-crossed. Or I will just keep driving my 10-year old Myvi into the ground.

Quick question, which CRV variant comparable to CX-5 2.2D 4WD in term of handling and overall satisfaction? Cargo space notwithstanding.

Thanks!

Did the previous dealer refund to you ? Feel like doing so too but I’ve paid 3k booking fees to my dealer so still considering whether want to cancel this and look for ready stock or not

If u don mind just wait till end of the year to get some good discount cus even if u booked now the waiting period is at least 2-3 months time....
CR-V can't be compare with cx-5 in terms of driving dynamics, CR-V is more on the family SUV type while CX-5 is on the sporty type.
Like to vroom vroom in highway or touge to Genting? Better take CX-5 cool2.gif

You can book at multiple dealers and all bookings can be refunded in full once you pull your request. Yeah, booking is just that..a purchase request.. Even if after signing bank loan and you change your mind at last minute. Can still be refunded. Provided car hasn't been registered in your name.. No full payment, no registration..means not sold to you yet.

Quick answer,
None! biggrin.gif
Unless they release CRV Type R tongue.gif

handling wise, hard to beat the CX-5 2.2D.
The CRV beats the CX-5 in terms of practicality and space, but if the majority of your driving is only yourself in the driver’s seat or just with your missus, treat yourself to a CX-5

Yes very good info indeed, I have watched that before and for few others like the CRV, Forester, Tiguan etc. There might be differences for the China market, but there should be high similarity as well. This is mainly about underneath the car and the build quality there determine how well the car drive.

To me the CRV win only in space and nothing else. The driving dynamic, refinement and NVH is definitely better on the CX5.

Yes, SRC is the most perfect color for it, no doubt.
Yes, I am searching for other branch for me to jump out..not because of the waiting time, but the bad service of my SA who always cincai reply/ignore my questions..
After choosing JB, will get it next week. (hoping no empty promise again)

I am seriously in need of car because my current car (saga blm) buyer is chasing me already..
I think your SRC is a hell of a long queue la..
Even if they temporary fulfill our local demand first, but they have to fulfill according to the booking number by ascending..

As our Admin said, Go for your favorite color and it is worth the wait..
*
my SA served really well to me....Federal one...
but i expected to wait as not urgent for me...

Last I checked.. You can't.. Simple and cheap solution.. Just take to third-party shop and they'll swap the oil for you..
