i thought the mazda Atf can't be changed without warranty being voided
*
If it unlimited mileage warranty, 5 years, i will 100% follow their recommendations, ie no ATF change. But 100k km capped warranty, then i will change it as there are CX5 owner who had gb problem above 100k km

Wow so basically atf change= warranty void no matter doing it in-house or outside workshop. 😂
*
Change outside atf won't left any changes whatsoever to the engine compartment, atf filling points

even for Toyota CVT gear oil....advised to change at 80K km.......but the Service Centre display the oil colour and quality (40K) already "dark"

Went to test drive CX30, chatted with salesperson, ask about the gear oil change mileage, he just mentioned AT gear oil no need to change as early as CVT gear oil.

U can YouTube seal for life ATF

Got another case GB kong for one Diesel owner, his mileage at 102k km. Never change the atf following Mazda standard. Lucky for him, he can claim new GB under warranty even above 100k km mileage capped, need to pay rm500 for others related to gb change service.

In short, just change ATF if wanna hold the car for long term. Source CX5 FB group

foreman told me atf reduce friction, cvt fluid increase friction.
so they are different function
is there any symptom before gb totally fail
*
For normal gearbox with gear, if already had symptoms usually end up in major overhaul for the gb or change whole set. Believe all starting with jerking issues especially the 1st gear. Some had issues the gear skip on certain gear during drive

Hi All, my wife just got her CX5 2.0 High model 1 month ago. We found out that when going over uneven road, the squeaking sound of windows on both front passenger and driver can be heard.

At first, Mazda SC blamed on us putting additional layer of tint is the root cause. But still the same after taking down the extra layer of tint.

Anyone facing the same issue?
*
Hi, i suggest u go to Glenmarie Body and Paint center, their technician helps the car rattling last time. Turn out change the steering clock spring behind the steering. At first though the suspension parts

Quick question. 2.5 na Vs 2.5 turbo. Is it worth the additional 10k?
*
Depends on your usage. 2.5T more torque, but come with heavy fuel consumption

Hello guys, if our car is insured by other company example (ETIQA, ALLIANZ) not Berjaya sompo MPI, can we send our accident car to Mazda paint workshop and claim from insurance company? Even this Mazda workshop is not under the (Etiqa, Allianz) insurance panel workshop.
*
Yes still possible. No issues

Anyone owning a 2.2D variant here? Planning to sell after the hearing the news about the diesel subsidies?

I'm considering selling mine off and getting the 2.0 variant if the diesel ends up being too damn expensive.
*
Only saw the Santa Fe Diesel owner pushing for letgo of theirs atm.

After the CRV announcement today, a Mazda SA told me they had a meeting and said the increase would only be between 5-6k, instead of the previously rumored/leaked 10k increment.

Take it with a grain of salt...
*
Good for consumers. One is a new model, another is facelifted but with an heavy price increase.

What year is your current CX-5? In my opinion the new facelift CX-5 doesn't seem to have much improvement over the previous years..so not sure worth to upgrade or not unless yours is the pre-2018 model.

Additionally, my personal opinion...CX-5 to a new CX-5 or CRV doesn't feel like an upgrade hahaha. BMW, Mercs, Volvo or Lexus baru seems like an upgrade XD
*
Ride once to Lexus SUV, RX series iinm, yeah a class higher. Main concern the price

Let them put rm200k+, wait for 1 year can become like Mazda 6. Used price down to affordable level even 2.5 version for car like 1-3 year old car

come join CX5 FB group, plenty of workshop that are specialist in Mazda shared there. if u look at recent post there, got one CX5 2.5T having weirdly jerking and up and down rpm during idling, turn out due to GB issue. and many had claim new GB for 2.5T

Talking about brake, the SC told me the rear pads will wear out faster than the front pads. Any comments/experience from anyone ?

All my previous cars experience, the front pad will wear out faster. Or in a way the braking ratio is like 70:30 or 60:40 for front:rear
*
based on reading, if keep on using auto hold brake will end up as above. BMW G20, X70 owners all complaining the same. If they turn off from using auto hold then only rear brake pad last longer

2.2D got well known engine issue after 50 - 60k km. Not sure if Mazda ever resolved it

2.5T well known for heavy fuel consumption

For me the best engine is actually the 2.5 NA. Reliable and still powerful enough
*
2.5T fuel consumption too much to take. One of my buddy own this for 2 years max and change to Civic current gen. He said that car consistent less than 10km/l, so cannot tahan, average like 8km/l. Powerful yes, but need to refill many time.
