Which part is BS? 2.5T heavy fuel consumption this is true, dont try to say its not

2.2D engine issues, indeed some owners encounter issues after long run, some did not. Its all over owners group. As I said maybe Mazda resolved it

2.5 NA best engine, this is my own opinion
*
unfortunately nothing change, only different is some other region drop this Diesel from their market. Us, continue selling. 2.5T many owner raise need to top up engine oil after hit 6k km onwards after EO change, not sure this is norm per design or what.

What issue encountered by diesel engine ?

Diesel engine is robust and most diesel car can run 400 to 500 thousand km without issue

Usually problem is with turbo or poor maintenance is the reason. But do share what is the issue as I am a diesel fan.
*
for other brand yes Diesel is reliable, example BMW diesel 320D and 520D. On Mazda many face diesel engine blown head gasket, until recently they give additional warranty for the engine. still need to fork out few K for puspakom thingy after change new engine under warranty.

Blown gasket ? Is it cast iron block ? Usually diesel engine bulletproof even to piston level due to significant pressure as opposed to petrol engine

I guess modern diesel if using aluminium block this is where problems will crop up
*
not sure with Mazda diesel, and up until now no design changes, recall etc other than renewal of warranty for diesel owner. but again, owner to spend rm1k plus for puspakom thingy after change engine, forgot, read somewhere from owner post

long time back boss.. then i had rfid installed also.. when rfid get popular smart tag lane is empty hmm.gif
*
If u are in Kajang and heading KL, RFID stuck more, more queue up vs Smart tag especially Cheras Grand Saga highway. Same goes to SUKE highway. Summary for me, RFID on weekends, Smart Tag on weekdays

Hey guys 👋 I just booked a CX-5 2.2D and aware the coolant splash issue and engine blown.

I checked with my SA they said if you change your service intervals to 5 to 7k km will prevent this issue. Beside this any maintaining tips to improve the reliability of this engine?

I heard that the 2024 engine already improved and issue less happen.
*
Good luck 📏

yeah I just heard the news after I changed my booking lol, but still ok because RON95 subsidy going to remove soon. Long term wise diesel still saver then petrol.
*
The other market/ region solutions for the diesel Mazda was removed it totally from the line up. Here believe SA words for 7-8k km service intervals, I can say good luck and wait for it to burst

Just bought a 2019 CX5. Now looking for tint, any recommended brand or series? Please also advise the spec that I should put on each of them. Do you guys really follow JPJ spec? Can block the heat under Msia weather?
*
For the standard tint that were installed on Mazda, the front windscreen are the poorest at 50+% IRR. If u are on budget, just change the front windscreen tint. Else do the new installation tint with 97-100% IRR on all car, double tint on existing windows

Just rented Socar at KLIA2 two days ago, blue colour CX5 2.0NA. Mileage at around 126k km iinm. Felt that the car GB jerking quite hard at high speed, especially if push after 4k rpm above. Maybe that car never done ATF change?

HI sifu,

need advice.

Send my car in to service center , complain the creaking sound when go over bump.

Understand that this is a common issue which involve the bush or the lower arm.

i have change twice the bush and also the lower arm.

This time round, SC suggest just apply grease on the bush..

did not mention what kind or type of grease.

Does anyone here has such experience??
*
Got it last time, after 3x went in out SC, they replaced the Steering Clock Spring then only resolved.

thinking to get used cx5 from carsome , which is better 2.0 or 2.5 ?
*
If most at City, 2.0 enough. But if heading Karak highway, the 2.0 will rev higher to get power, not to say underpower but some section it need drop gear too much

True thing. It’s very crampy at the back seats of the CX5. Maybe I should test drive CRV first before giving it a go. The screen on CRV is larger and more premium feel right? Haha
*
Try socar CX5, usually gets almost brand new unit but base spec. At least can conclude the car better after use b4 commit loan

Wanted to change my Civic FE as well , already having Tuk sound . Maybe to a used CX5 . I wonder how much the bank can let go for early settlement , currently mine is about 1 year paid , 130k balance and 110k principle .
*
Foresee many top up required, especially if u took 9 years loan. Plus now, brand new give up to 5 figure rebates. Iiwu, find 3rd party workshop specialist to repair the rack with improvement better than burn money, trade in with lost.

Hello everyone, I have gotten my CX-5.
First proper mod - Hacked the touchscreen and now I have all speed touch screen.
Its just a 3 min job and only requires a USB drive. I'm tempted to go full AIO but tbh I already have Carplay AI Box that runs full Android...not feeling the need right now.

First impressions;
Storage space is really lacking. Legit among Myvi 2005, Peugeot 208, Honda Civic 2022 this is the car with smallest arm rest and glovebox storage and the cover does not support my elbows. What gives....?
I am discarding 70% of the junk that I have from my old car....which is technically smaller.

Mazda lent me a CX-8 2.2D high for a few days, and boy did I get used to the HUD. It is a game changer in terms of road awareness. How I wish I never learnt about 400Nm torque and HUD.

More gripes - the boot does not have any way to open it except for the button...hmmm.

CTS - The steering aid is very very mild, in the internet there is a bragging sheet about how much torque / aid you get from the lane keep. This will surely be at bottom 1%.

Positives - very steady in turns, I feel the GVC at every turn of the steering.
Gearbox feels smooth to me, I come from CVT which drones, this is back to AT feels, but still, nothing spectacular.
NVH is really step up from Civic. Like Continental step up.

Ok la, all I want is a reliable car and I hope this is it.
*
Just based on many user feedback from CX5 fb group, better change the atf after certain mileage interval, 40k/50k km where's Bermaz sold it as seal for life. Based on reading on FB, those who done ATF change per interval don't have any gb issue. And there are cases of owner get gb warranty above 100k km when they did not do ATF change, but better play safe cz black & white, Bermaz only cover it until 100k km/ 5 years only
