so insane why SC don't allow to change gear oil ? even pay by own ?
*
Mazda and Bermaz specify it as Seal for life atf. But still got case of gb k.o, and warranty capped at 100k km, for me that really covering the manufacturer side risk.

If it 5 years, unlimited mileage warranty capped as many others, sure I wont change the atf and prepare to get new GB after sometime, under warranty

Brought this up to SC in my last visit..

Me: so what if gearbox GG after 100k km?
SC: then change gearbox lol.
Me: how much is a gearbox?
SC: probably 20-25k++?
Me: so why should I not change the ATF oil within this 100k km?
SC: because Mazda said ATF oil is lifetime.
Me: lifetime of the gearbox or lifetime of the car?
SC: *blur and sohai face*
Me: so either you change the ATF oil for me or I change myself
SC: if you change yourself, warranty void
Me: if I don't change and gearbox gg, are you going to cover a new gearbox for me?
SC: no...?

Lmao.

For reference, this SC is Sg. Besi.
*
the winner is Bermaz & Mazda. We are the loser, thanks to the warranty T&C and "seal for life" atf but capped on mileage. Spend less than rm200 for brand new ATF per 40k - 50k km is recommended.

Ugh thanks, not a big fan of fb. Have to see if my account is still active.

Any recommended SAs around PJ/Subang area?
*
based on experience, Bermaz Motor Trading Sdn Bhd (Body & Paint Centre) resolved my family Cx5. Claimed rear wheel bearing and steering clock spring, where other SC said it is normal.

Glenmarie one? Sucks to hear about the inconsistent service centres in Malaysia no matter how much you buy your car for. Really takes away from the ownership experience.

Do you have a reliable sa contact?
*
Yes glenmarie. Just random SA there will helps for any issues with car. The SC more than willing to chase for warranty claim while some other SC only concentrate on normal service but taici mode when having warranty claim

Thanks! Will probably go there for a look see. Spoken to some Mazda SAs in the past, found a number of them very cocky. Probably because their sales figures are very good.

Have seen people reporting that the CX5 gearbox starts to give up after the warranty period due to the no oil change policy. How's your CX5 gearbox holding up?
*
Still low mileage, almost hitting 30k km. probably will change ATF in due future. I don't believe in the seal for life ATF. Unless Bermaz give unlimited mileage warranty, then only I follow them to get new GB

I am, but can't really help you coz i just owned the car nearly 3 month.

From fb group people usually complain burn engine oil, blown head gasket (usually happened on 2.2D, but saw some owner also complain about 2.5T)

fuel consumption at high side (i not really care it), brake not so good (even 2.0 also have same problem)

pros: a really powerful engine for this size of SUV, very low turbo lag, AWD system works superb, cornering quite precise. Overall driving experience is nice, no regret choosing Mazda again (previously owned a Mazda 3 BM/BN)

try to ask VW Tiguan owner also similar fate, EO eating after hitting 7k km per service. Need to top up, iinm foc by VW

Hi Friends

My new CX5 (deep crystal blue) has a visible scratch mark on the driver side door. I suspect it was by some motorcycle guy who tried to park between two cars while i have parked at a shopping lot area. (Saw a lot of motorcycles  parked between cars on that day).

I checked with Bermaz and they mentioned that they need to repaint the whole door which will cost me RM750. I was wondering if i should take it to a car painting specialist to get it fixed instead. But am worried if the paint patch work will have any difference from the original paint and may end up looking ugly. What should i do?

So i am checking here with you guys..anyone has any suggestion on which is the better solution.

I place a booking on the last day of SST exemption. Thus, that's the only discount do I have. Heard some SA in Klang Valley do give you some discount of 500-1000 if you doesn't want their lousy Skytint (cost 2k). Save roughly 2.5-3k.
In my case, it is compulsory to have pay for it (2k) and I gonna replace it with Vkool since Mazda tint is sucks.
*
Definetely they wont allow to remove the mandatory accessories by Bermaz. Skytint - junk, old version carpets, that are paid mandatory by us. Bought family cx5 2.0 high line at Mazda Ulu Kelang Ampang - Act-Chievers Sdn Bhd back then in 2020, SA give rm2k rebates on top of SST waiver.

That the best offer I had that time, there are plenty with rm1k rebates while majority don't give any rebates. Ask SA why, he want to get high sales.

Ya lo..it's chicken and egg dilemma. Not enough sales to justify CKD so price expensive..price expensive so cannot get sales so cannot justify CKD..but Bermaz macam no cut the KIA's specs and features as much as it used to be right?
*
can solve this one, buy a used unit, pre-reg unit. same fate as Mazda 6 nowadays. now all rebates, or bring down the price cz no taker

201km pure electric range. Tbf China manufacturers aggressive on EV car design while Japanese just too slow, kinda like smartphone technology. But being Bermaz, more slow and sleep approach

Please help. Tq & much appreciated.
