what about fender/tyre sound proof ? seems the loudest noise is from the tyres. GL, stock tyres.
The fender/tyre sound proof is more expensive @ RM1.8k and will need about half a day for installation. The 19" Toyo tyres also a bit noisy and seems that the loudest noise comes from the tyre and undercarriage parts
I need a phone mount for waze on my phone and the dashboard of cx5 is not flat except for far left so if driving alone really can't easily reach to my phone there lol
p/s: I haven't had time to install android auto and i feel phone waze is easier.
Got a few sellers in CX-5 FB groups sell this type of phone holders and I believed some members also use them. Price should be below Rm60 if you search around
Yes, it is a good practice to do cross rotation, alignment and balancing every 10k km or so, Just follow the servicing schedule as if lazy to do outside, can ask the SC to do the rotation, although Glenmarie charges Rm90.10, which is not the cheapest if compared to outside tyre shops. I recently did 40k servicing and my tyre can still go another 10k-20k or so.
Oh yeah, found your previous post with the link.. I'll get one of these then.. Any other pros and cons so far besides the "easy to steal" caps? Found this video review on it..Seems pretty straight forward..
The cons so far:- 1. The unit will go to sleep mode when stuck in traffic jam. Need to light press any of the button to waken up the unit 2. The paper manual is too small to read
Why not this type? The sensor is being aseembled from inside the tyre. Lazada about rm200++
Because the sensors need to be installed in the rims, and have to install at tyre shops. When you need to do cross rotation every 10k km or so, you need to reconfigure again which sensors go to which tyre now. Of course in theory internal sensors will give more accurate reading and not easy to steal if compared to external sensors. I’ve used both types of internal and external sensors TPMS for my previous rides and current ride and both come with their own pros and cons
Ya man. Sigh. The left side mirror retracts 60% only. Could be gear or motor - no idea.
Seems like a well known issue as few members in FB and in the whatsapp groups reported the same problem. Those already out of warranty recommends a few shops where they only change the worn-out gears for less than RM200 or so while SC will charge for the whole unit for more than a grand. My left mirror also have intermittent problems, sometimes can fully retract, sometimes only retract halfway or so. When fully retract, there is also some play unlike the right mirror which has no play.

May I know what are the significant differences between ver 54.xxx and 70.xxx?
Other than the smoother operation (or maybe just placebo effect), one thing I notice is that if you play music from the USB and you muted the volume, the playback will also pause. It will resume playback once you "unmute" the volume. On ver 54.xxx, the playback will still continue even though the volume is muted.
There are other changes but I can't really recall. IIRC, @voncrane already posted his findings on the differences.
I went for my first service recently at Mazda PJ (jalan 219), but I noticed after the service, I feel my car is not as powerful as before. I checked my service booklet they only changed engine oil (didn't specify what oil) and oil filter. My car is 2.2D and I already made sure the service agent knows it is diesel and he said they will use 0W-40 instead of 30 because bla bla (forgot what he said lol, something abt 40 is smoother).
I'm actually wondering...Could it be because they use engine oil for petrol mistakenly? I can't tell from my service booklet and if I ask the service agent he will certainly say it is 0W, but he is not the one servicing it, it's the technicians. Or, maybe just my 'illusion' that car is not powerful.......
I've done up to 40k servicing for my 2.2D, all at Bermaz Glenmarie and all the times they used Helix Ultra 0W-30 full syn No idea why your SC recommends 0w-40 as it sounds fishy to me. Mind to share which SC did you go?

But cukur la...we can still buys from other places to add-on into our car.
recently a CX-5 club member bought MRCC from overseas and then "prak en prey" into his car and it work!
It has been successfully done, so no need to pray unless need to claim warranty IIRC, need about 3k or so to retrofit the radar cruise control to 2.2D model, and few k more for petrol version. Has your sister collected her CR-V yet?
