Hey guys, does anyone experiencing losing engine oil with 2.5t variant? Currently my car is clocked in at 19k km, still 1k away from my next service schedule, but today suddenly low engine oil warning popped out on my instrument panel, after checking the dipstick, indeed the engine oil is running low, which makes me wonder whether is the engine makan the engine oil or is this possible the SC has filled insufficient engine oil during my previous service? Or perhaps there’s something went wrong with my car?

Previously my car comes with Shell Helix Ultra engine oil, 10k km no issue at all, now using petronas syntium and facing this issue, may I know if this is normal for 2.5T to lose engine oil?

Any 2.2D owner here can share experience and is it reliability? Heard a lot of negative feedback from some Mazda sifu mechanics. They suggest rather go for gasoline version instead 2.0, 2.5, 2.5T.

Well said. CX-5 was just overrated. Me too regretted 2.5T. Too many issues with the car. The suspension clunking is the worst and now starting Ghost Touch on the screen. New car is less than a year  . This call premium?

Will have them check when 10k service. Really disappointed with the quality of a new car. I don't pay 180K for this experience.

This Mazda really has many quality issues for a new car. Never in my life bought a new car within a year so many issues. For god sake, this is my last one and only one. No one to blame just myself because I ignored every bad post I read online and think should be ok because I have seen a lot on the road. I was wrong. Very regretted. No more Mazda for me. Even my Perodua is less headache. Plus, now any Diagnosis and Repair must only to do it on weekdays. Just these 6 months I already took 3 leaves just for this stupid car. 

Mine has some ticking noise in steering rack when turning left and right, read from Mazda technical service bulletin and suspected it's clock spring too. Went to Bermaz Glenmarie HQ and they said they tested another 2.5T and it's normal to have this noise. I don't buy their bullshit but decided to let it be since I got 6 years warranty just claim it later if it goes wrong. Some time later I went to Glenmarie body and paint center with same complaint they checked my service history in their system and told me same story. Oh well, I'll just live with it. now I don't even notice the ticking sound anymore. Hahaha

Small issues like this that doesn't affect the safety and functions of the car I'd rather not spend time to ask 4S to rectify, more often than not they'll create some other problems or break a clip that create more rattles, or scratch your interior in the process.

I'll live with my occasionally faulty side mirrors, the clicking noise at the lower arm/brake areas, the squeaky sound from rear passenger power door lock, etc, until next service.

When we have budget for >200k and chose CX-5 at 180-185k coz it's seems like a good deal, the expectation for premium quality is still there. But every car has its faults and shortcomings. Some quality issues that may be bearable for a 130k car is not acceptable for customers expecting 200-250k quality tho. For now I just treat my CX5 as a 130k car with 50k worth of options(which it rightly is) so I don't even bother about it so much now. 😂 Just work hard to get that next dream car then only worry about the next car's problems.

Reading some of those US car mags, the 0-1000 of this 2.5T is <7 seconds, but local reviews show >7 seconds. Not sure what to believe ...

Would like to ask anyone done comparison of fuel brands between RON 95 and RON 97.

Knew that our model min requirement able to use RON 95.

I have been fueling with Caltex RON97 since 1st tank. Getting avg 12km+/litre. 50% hway, 50% city driving.

Anyone doing other fuel brands, and how's the FC?
