You need a new hardware for mzd connect 2..
Current hardware might not powerful enough to support it.

i rather upgrade the HU to aftermarket in future in this case

Wait for the TAU and screen to be available then when you change it will be the latest version.

If not mistaken EU and CHina market are using cx-30 infotainment version.
*
reason wise, all aftermarket HU almost come without limit. it basically an IPAD on the HU, then a radio with a sort of safety limit due to regulation, etc. in this case, if want to upgrade the HU.

On non GL/mid specs version. You will loose a lot of access to vehicle settings. Like those crash avoidance, auto lighting and etc.
US and Aus market too.. Malaysia just helping to clear left over stock at cheaper price .
*
Bermaz games our market? I just dont understand Bermaz strategy, sell Cx8 which cost higher than cv5 but losing out features of Cx5 like those digital speedometer. Same goes to Mazda 6 facelift.

On the Mazda 3 reluctant to make it CKD is questionable

thanks for your reply. as i understand this DRL wiring is connected to the headlamp and turn signal indicator, im guessing because they are linked like that, any issues with the headlamp and turn signal, the warranty would be void as well?
*
Those are typical SC words to scare customer about warranty. Believe it just plug and play. If possible, can revert back to standard/remove it so 100% no issues for warranty claim later. Some sc even scare customer to take their tint at sc for sake of warranty. Sc sell it at retail Premium price, this happened for Honda branch.

noted, would i be right in saying that when i bring in for service i can leave it as it is, but if i notice an issue with the headlamp then i revert it and claim?

what about if the SC notices there's an issue with my headlamp before I do, and noted in their records that I have this DRL modification? would they still void my warranty even if i go away and revert it and come back? thanks
*
Still can argue with sc. From my hearsay, mazda sc kinda ok for warranty claim, like no issues to raise it to u. While for Honda, it depending on which sc u went, some are generous to help, some taici said it normal. Worst on your case was they remove the warranty claim only on related to the headlamp

Hello all, can somebody advise where I find a good CX5 aircon repair shop in Klang Valley? Its not getting cold anymore especially afternoon. Just want an alternative quote to compare with the ones from Mazda Service Centre before decide. Thank you.
*
my theory is your AC system is having a minor leak, hence the gas is less than the ideal or recommended value. that is why u feel cold at night/rain but hot under hot sun. try get a warranty if possible at SC for repair/finding the root cause of the leak, repair/replace that parts, and fill up gas.
but if you really want to find outside AC repair, need to find a really good place as most ac shop outside repair it by replacing all parts without exactly find the root of the leakage

I'm actually suspecting they will increase the price. Ppl won't take the extended package if normal service is cheaper.
*
If no more warranty, most will service it outside. Cz much cheaper, take lesser time to complete a normal service

man i PITY u for getting such a lousy cheating SA. Id just walk off and go to another SA and if needed another branch.

I made a thread in kopitiam on types of SA malaysians prefer recently.

for me personally, SA that I can trust to handle from knowing the car specs, to the car buy process and aftersales service is very important, not the free gifts
*
I take SA which can give cash rebates. So with that, I will decide to take for coating/ppf/deduct from 10% deposit etc. If u spend some time asking few SA via whatapps/call, some of them able to give cash rebates to close the deals. In my case, discount rm2k which i deduct it from my 10% deposit

Hello guys, anyone having problem with driver and passenger side windows having squeaky “Eee Eek” noises whenever going through uneven roads? The noises also can be produced by pressing on the windows.

So far can confirm the sounds comes from the windows seal rubber, already claimed warranty twice for this issue but still the problem persists, anyone here having the same issue and have any idea how to solve the problem? Thanks 🙏🏻

Had somewhere a similar scenario, claim mine as steering clock spring. Good after that. Changed it at Glenmarie

Hyundai is under SB right, Sime darby after sales is not bad.
New launch for Hyundai car looks nice, but their pricing also higher maybe due to CBU.
*
sure ok after-sales for Sime Darby? I heard the other way round especially after Ford chaos on the warranty claim. simple parts claim also need 3-6 months waiting cz they reluctant to order parts in bulk and only in require basis

It about rm500 x 4. Considering Mazda service interval at 10k km or 6 months duration. Different is u need pay lumsump rm2k upfront

Back in 2018 during the tax holiday.. my friend manage to get RM2.5k discount from SA ( out of SA pocket) + some gift and petrol.

Me at different showroom gets nothing.. no gift nor discount. But my SA didn't charge me for buying number plate. So my saving is only RM250. Should had pick SMS or 1Malaysia.. I'm bad in negotiatie
*
My family members gets rm2k discount rebates, given by SA + rm3.6k rebates for insurance given by Bermaz back then. So he transferred his 55% ncd, get another balance, so both deduct from 10% deposit. Bermaz Ulu Klang besides Mrr2 for 2.0 high line Cx5.

Then free full tank when taking the car.

Ok maybe lack AA and ACP different vs 2020. That why I take 2020 model last year vs 2019 model which give more rebates due to 1 year old registered car.

Got someone bought the CX30 media driven car back then at Mazda Federal highway last time when Im reviewed the 2019 CX5, he also get best price. Just that car had been trashed by media/YouTubers etc.

QUOTE(Axell @ Oct 1 2021, 03:17 PM)
So far issues with my car:
1. Significant scratches on instrument cluster cover - My claim was rejected by Mazda, SA replaced it for me - Fixed
2. Air conditioner on front passenger side blow hot air when set to 25c, referred to Mazda Japan then SC changed the air conditioner controller, still the same. Compared with new car, is the same then SC concluded that it is normal - Fixed
3. Car jerking when slowly drive through a bump at 10~20kmph. SC relearn the auto transmission, so far there is no issue until today - Fixed
4. Clunking noise at the front, both front bush has been replaced - Fixed
5. Rattling noise:
- Front dashboard (fixed but still there is minor noise)
- Instrument cluster cover (I think because they replaced it before this it was fixed recently)
- Driver side (ongoing but I might found the root cause)
- Left rear passenger side (ongoing can't find the root cause yet)
6. Left front damper knocking noise, to change with a new damper - In progress

About some of the abnormal noise, complained to SC and then they said it was fixed but actually not, so have to visit them frequently to investigate and remediate yawn.gif
*
On the AC, I thought mine had issue as well. Put 25C, not really cold. Other car, Honda Accord, X70 blow cold air for 25C settings especially noon.

Sc said normal
