Can try Bermaz Glenmarie, as they should have the 2.2D, 2.5 and 2.0 variants.
But can forget about discount and freebies if you book there.

Right now they have CX-8 on display too, but they are JDM and not available for test drive yet

I also got the pre-order offer and installation of the ACP & AA module for RM1k or so.
When i sent my CX-5 for lower arm bush replacement at Glenmarie, I asked them to update the MZD to the latest firmware too.
In case hand itchy wanna install the Car Play module outside

It should be FW v90 or something like that.
Glenmarie SC updated my MZD firmware last Thursday when I sent mine for lower arm bush replacement.

You have to inform them to update the Fw as when I sent mine for 30k servicing 3 week ago, they did not update the Fw

I have not notice any improvements or changes yet.

Firmware update is free at SC.
But you have to inform them when you send your car and they will write down your request in the service form.

1. Service center - so far only use Bermaz Glenmarie. Decent service, but turnaround time a bit slow, since it's their HQ and many appointments
2. Spare part - no idea yet as mine only 1 year old, but from what I heard, price or wear and tear parts are reasonable
3. Warranty claim - quite OK for my case. But mine only lower arm bush replacement

I’ve never heard of the brand before and they are charging Rm4.5k for an SUV?
If it’s my money, I’d go for well known brand like V-kool, 3M, Llumar, Huper-Optic, etc

1. It has DPF as stated in the manual.
2. My SA and the SC said it will void warranty if we use Bio Diesel. It has to be Euro5. But if emergency, can just pump maybe 10 litres or so until can travel to fuel station with Euro5.
3. No Bose speakers for KF model (2nd gen). To me Bose is just overglorified name. I’d rather install Focal or other well established names. End of the day it’s just how much you wanna spend $$ to get better sound

You can join the CX-5 FB or whatsapp groups once you’ve gotten your car.
There are quite a number of shops in KV that have done CX-5 ICE upgrade.
I have not upgraded my speakers so I can’t recommend any shops yet but with a budget of Rm2k, you can get front and rear component speakers or front component + 8” underseat power sub.

As for wheel spin, during my 1 yr plus ownership of 2.2D Fwd, only encountered twice and it was during my 1st 2 weeks of ownership when I pedall to metal the aacelerator

I see. Good to know that they are using their noice cancelling technology in KF CX-5.
Pity that Bermaz strips all these technology for the Malaysian markey

The iStop OBD dongle should cost you around Rm135 from Jack Lieu.
Don’t think it affect the warranty as you can easily plug or unplug the dongle yourself from the OBD port.
But as Voncrane has mentioned, there are cheaper or free DIY option and I’d rather use the OBD port for other purposes like for aftermarket HUD, to power the dashcam, etc

Should cost you Rm400-500.
Some members like Sidek Salleh provides this service for Rm4xx or you can DIY if you know how to open your MZD panel and handy with serial hack as the firmware is freely available in the web.
The tedious thing is to open the MZD panel as the latest official firmware already disable USB intallation from the USB port, hence the high cost some members are charging for this installation

Check with bro Sidek Salleh at CX-5 FB or whatsapp groups.
He provides ECU remapped services in JB, Bangi, Kepong

I believed Danny Chan also changed his 2.0 GLS active info into coloured display like the 2.2D as well.
Can check his posts in FB groups.
His is the only coloured display with RPM to 8k, as diesel model RPM is 6k only.

Pls check with him personally as he is quite active in FB groups or check with @mjchow as his post above
I'm driving 2.2D so some of those functions are enable by default

Unless you are a lefthanded, get a Locktact pedal lock instead.
I don’t really recommend Geneo or Redbat because their second lock is on the left, whereas Locktact is on the right.
For a righthanded person, sometimes I fumbled a little bit trying to insert the key into the second lock especially in the dark.
Pricewise, you can get Geneo or Redbat for low Rm3xx with installation
