The Korean beta testers are hard at work, supposedly they are the most powderful SC players in the world.
I'm quite concerned about the episodic length of each campaign. Why do they need to give Final Fantasy/Metal Gear style long-winded stories for each faction |

I know some people who played Starcraft and Warcraft 3 for a long time, but never played the campaign. This one guy who taught me 1 vs 1 SC don't know who Zeratul is, lol.

Yar, I think lots of people did not bother with Starcraft campain.
But for someone from the opposite side of the ruler like me who mostly play single player, I am kinda happy they are going to put good storyline and long campain. I am just kinda meh about the "pay for 3 games to get the full story" thinggy (if that's still planned, I have not checked on SC2 for a while now...). SC scenario was pretty okey for a RTS to be honest. I think for multi as long as the unit balance is good and they have some good maps, that will be enough. I trust Blizz for the balance, SC1 is still played now because of that. |

The only Blizzard RTS game with good storyline and lots of missions and nice FMV, all crammed in one CD, is Warcraft III and it's expansion, Frozen Throne. Nuff said.

I think the community also plays an important role for balance. Starcraft community in general are less whiny and b****y.
Back in 2006, Z>>>P is a hot debate. Because Z>>>P. In IOPS Starleague05, Starcraft was nearly reduced to 2 race game. Out of 16 players qualified, only 1 is protoss. But in early 2007 Bisu[Shield], a P player reversed the Z>>>P to P>Z without help from balance patch. He 3-0'd zerg god Ma Jae Yoon in GomTV Starleague07. ![]() Zeratul reincarnate, Bisu[Shield]. See sometimes its not the game, but the players themselves. |

Bisu is the 1st Protoss player that solves the Z>P problem ever since the SC was hosted in Korea, his innovative tactic(gather a group of Corsairs and take advantage in air, kill or chase off Overlord then drop Dark Archon) ended the domination of Zerg, especially ended the IpxZerg/Saviour era. Ever since he won over Saviour in MSL final, Saviour is no longer a top player, he even once dropped from A team to B team in SPL.
Bisu already won 3 MSL championships so far, but he still can't able to get one in OSL. But without a doubt he's the best Protoss player in SC history. This post has been edited by HiT-AbLe: Apr 3 2009, 02:46 PM |

There's no doubt he's the best Dragon in Starcraft history.
"In Warcraft 3 you fight changes(patch)" "In Starcraft you change in order to fight" His 3-0 win that (3/3/07) day also influenced current generation protoss greatly . Historically protoss is the less represented race in Starleague(20% -30%). But during 2007 - 2008, protoss players managed to break terran dominance as the most represented race in Starleague(45%-55%). That's the beauty of Starcraft. The game is a living thing, it evolves. We've seen many innovation from players throughout Starcraft history, and we'll keep watching for more. To quote someone from TL.net, "Innovation doesn't make gameplay, but gameplay does". edit: Bisu ownage. <3 Kara. Narration:When in love, sometimes u need to lie. Han Seung-Yeon: "Honey, I have a fever on my head" Narration:Of course, u have to be smart enough to play along. Bisu : "You have a headache, but even so you look beautiful." Narration:GL! Remember the last season of MSL? It's the golden age of Protoss, semi final with all Protoss players, then Bisu took his 3rd MSL title, his PVP is in Godmode now.
But I'm quite sad that he lost to his teammate Fantasy in OSL semi final, if not he'll face Jaedong in final, the two most strongest players in SC right now. Btw I also quite disappointed with Jangbi, I thought he'll get his own MSL title in this season since Bisu was out very early of the season. My thought was as long as he's not facing any Zerg player in final, pretty much he'll get the title. In the end he lost to Luxury, it's proven that in PVZ, there's only one protoss player, Bisu(Maybe Free too, since he owned Jaedong lol). |

With nerd rage in Korean language.
Oh well I have nothing against them beside their public cheating in World Cup 2002. Of course Blizzard won't be listening to them only, they can't speak Korean for shit. |

Thats not them being skeptical, its bandwagon jumpers being ignorant. They think they know but they don't actually. They think playing many games gives them knowledge and right to tell people how Starcraft 2 should work. Its not only Koreans dude. Starcraft and Warcraft 3 have more players than any other RTS combined. Do your homework first before telling Blizzard what is innovation.
WCG has become corrupted like MTV. I'm not surprised if some people think those game in the list deserves it. "Innovation doesn't make gameplay, but gameplay does". This post has been edited by RtP|DEV: Apr 4 2009, 06:47 PM |

QUOTE Hidden SC2 Images/Text Found ![]() Battle.net member Superfux recently discovered SC2 images and text referenced in some code on the new battle.net site. After he posted his findings, one of the images (the one above) that said "Pre-Beta" changed to "Beta". Here are four of the images: game-space/S2.jpg, game-boxes/S2.jpg, sc2beta.jpg, and S2.jpg. The following texts were found and posted by Superfux: battle.net wrote:"StarCraft 2 Beta added! Click the box image to download the beta client." "StarCraft II® [Pre-Beta]" "Opt in to the StarCraft 2 Beta" "By opting in, you will enter this Battle.net account in the running to participate in the StarCraft 2 beta test." Thanks to StarcraftWire.net for the tip and making this mock screenshot showing how battle.net accounts will look on that wonderful day: (for some of us anyway ![]() |
